I was on 845 for the whole of that commission as a Armourer. The Wessex were armed with four .303 browning machine guns, two each side on platforms over the wheels. Also a gpmg mounted in the doorway. We also had in the last year SS 11 missiles one each side... I have no another evidence of my assumptions, unfortunately... But I am very interested in this theme. Can I ask you other questions?

Gentlemen! It's true that the weapon platform for Wessex HAS.1 commando helicopter has design, different from the late Wessex HU.5? I saw only few poor quality photos of HAS.1 with platforms and I think that they have two weapon suspension units above for FFMG or 2-in rocket launchers and to two bellow for ATGM, but I'm not exactly sure.
