I found an interesting picture p70 in "de Havilland Mosquito, an illustrated History Volume 1" from Stuart Howe, showing the copper strips on the cockpit wall to the left of the pilot.
They seem unpainted, natural metal glistening. The picture being black and white looks war time made.
More, I found somewhere , only one time but actually, can't remember where, ( Aviation Guide Mosquito FB VI Airframe, systems ... by Dave Brown in p91 ) mention of a lengthened U/C leg for FB VI late production ??? May be the length was not longer but the drawing showed lengthened as in flight not grounded ???
It seems to me the engine firewall rather bare on the engine side in THE 1/24 Aifix Mosquito, a very lovely kit otherwise.
