  1. Delivered yesterday and it is all correct with an airliner fuselage
  2. Heller are aware of the problem so they should send the correct parts. The one I ordered from a French dealer, dispactched it on Tuesday having been to the Heller factory to get the correct parts.
  3. I have received an Email from a dealer in France that I have ordered one from and in it he says that Heller have put AWACS fuselage halves instead of the passenger halves in the box. He is getting it rectified and should be able to ship next week.
  4. He is on Ebay with several hundred items.
  5. Owen Greenwood a sidecar driver racer from Leicester built a trike like that for racing in the sidecar class which he took by storm in the UK in the 1960's. It consisted of a 1200 mini front end and a home built frame to the rear wheels which were ganged together at 8" spacing to qualify it for sidecar racing. In the UK Morgan three wheelers are much the same layout but usually have a vee twin motorcycle engine fitted. The trike that Hacker pictured is actually a Polaris Slingshot.
  6. 3mm spiral cable wrap is available on fleabay from china with 0.4mm wall thickness in black or natural for a very minior cost!
  7. I agree, it is brilliant, can't wait till some one does decals in 1/48 etc.
  8. Hi, These are the best representation of the Ford Zakspeed Capri/Mustang http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealed-Monogram-Motorsport-Mustang-IMSA-Racer-1-24-/291733767986?hash=item43ecb00732:g:YKsAAOSwYlJW3hrf#shpCntId, it comes with the roll cage, engine, radiators, etc. It is a Monogram from the '80s and is not a shake and bake job. Just to make your eye's water Beatties or Taylor and Mckanna's were selling then for £2
  9. WTF?? Two identical sprues?? wups... The two sprues are different around the area of the tailplanes, they are both rippled in that area, the one that was in the kit bag being the worse of the two. The kit was moulded in Korea and it was perfect but not now, if you can find one that was made before early 2015 it should be a Korean one and should be OK
  10. Just received 1/6 Tamiya 1300 Kawasaki touring bike. £100 sent complete.
  11. Hopefully you should get some in stock to sell soon and that you have not lost any preorders.
  12. It has gun bay covers but no walls and no guns in the wings just barrels to be fitted from the outside. Also the covers are not that good a fit. I am building 2 F4u-5 at the moment and the outer wings are still fabric covered which should metal. Also the flaps can only be positioned in the up position unless they are doctored to fit down.

  15. Fabulous bike and rider, saw them both in the 1970 TT when he was killed trying to beat the Yamahas, for a single cylinder stroker it was disgustingly quick. Sad.
  16. I have done 2 this way and it worked both times with good results with the CMK conversion and the Neomega one. Do one side first and compare to the airfiix fuselage length while still soft and then match the other side to the first dry half. On the other hand you could use the Sword kit as Neomega are selling just the T-4/5 cockpit parts from thier conversion which I would imagine would fit with a bit of adjustment.
  17. Have you checked this site? http://www.motomini.com/toyr.htmlThe RAE kits were advertised in the motorcycling press in the '80's , I certainly remember the Vincent , and all the rest of them except the commandos. I remember them being priced then about £85--£95 and the Vincent was commissioned by the VOC. I thought that they were all 1/8 scale and not 1/9 scale as indicated on the enclosed site. I think that RAE were the originators of the models and these others have bought the reminants of RAE and that one of the Finecast companys were the makers. Guy.
  18. It Is nice to see a sensible and level headed response to the Revell kit which we have not yet been able to fondle.
  19. If you go to this web site http://kimshouse7015.com/click on backyard in the left column and the scroll down to Heller there is fair selection of the bikes in 1/8 that Heller have made over years from about the late 70's. If you have a look around the site you will find a good No of builds and methods used to build 1/8 bike and other scales. Heller 1/8 bikes require " modelling skills" to build though, Tamiya they are not. Guy.
  20. : :mental:Kuchemann. Coffman made piston starters.
  21. I have just got mine lol from Collets at £36.50 all in so it does not always pay to go to ebay, I think they are nil stock at the moment though
  22. A 1/48 X-29 would be nice as we have only ever had it in 1/72 by Hasegawa I believe. :Tasty:
  23. The tyres used at that time were Dunlop "triangulars" and they were designed to have max surface area in contact with the track surface when the bike was fully cranked over not upright. I think that Tamiya have got it pretty near right. Dunlop developed the tyres in the early '60's with the help of riders like Bob Mcintyre and other leading riders of the time.
  24. I have 2 from the '90's mouldings and they are a lot better moulding than that but it must be remembered that the moulds were manufactured the late '70's to early '80's but it looks like there was alack of pressure in the moulding. They look like these cheap Chinese moulds.
  25. The Revell one is the old Italeri kit from the early '90s and I understand that the rotor blades have been moulded reversed and generally the kit reflects the detailing of Italeri kits of the time. The Kitty Hawk kit pretty much bang up todate and appears to be a good kit and as such is the best kit of the 2 but is the later variant.
