my mix; source unknown is: 18 parts Tamiya X-2, 1 part X-14, 1 part X-28. Tony

Once you clean up the cockpit area with some aftermarket and a bit of 'modelling'; the Airfix kit does build up into a serious contender against the Hasecademy one.

Lovely work on that Sabre !! 2 small points; your nose leg door should be folded close to a 90 degree bend; your wing fences should be a bit more rectangular shaped nice clean work on that Mk4 (F-86EM) Cheers, Tony -

the F-86E(M) from Yugoslavia was an ex Sabre Mk4 Canadair built. Lots of kits can make that version because most of the kits have the hard edge wing. Tony -

yes, the bump is a Westland thing, not on a Sikorsky machine Tony -

if you re-decal that Sea King, take the time to remove the Westland bump off the LH side of the engine/transmission cover Nice collection, by the way. Cheers, Tony -

the whole firewall forward is not shaped like a Cessna 172, period Tony ps; then there's the landing gear -

nice work even on the landing gear corrections, BUT, in this day and age of 3D scanning and 3D printing; the kit's outline (especially the nose area) is not very Cessna 172 shaped. Way too narrow at the front of the cowling, and should not be so sloped down in front of the windscreen. Still, nobody should mistake it for a Sopwith Camel Cheers, Tony -

Canadair CF-116D (CF-5D) Ejection Seats
Tony Edmundson replied to Tiger331's topic in Aircraft Cold War
Depends, if they have the large head box, then no, they won’t work for a Canadian F-5 edit; just looked, they are WRONG for the CF116. -

Yes, the Turks flew the ex-Sabre Mk2, that had the Vee shaped windscreen. -

Thanks for the correction, you are correct. That’s what I get for going by memory. no , that is the kit nose as moulded, just the seam sanded is all I accomplished. I did replace the wing fences with plastic card, and use contrail tube for the exhausts. Tony -
decals are from a special release of this kit by the Time Air Historical Society. The intended markings ended up in disaster courtesy of PointerDog decals, lesson learned; never again !!
