  1. I have this very kit in the stash and yours is quite inspirational ! Ive been putting it off thanks to the re-scribing and youve done a lovely job !
  2. Thats ACE ! If the one in my stash comes out half as good ill be VERY happy !
  3. Doesnt have to be... Modern LED lighting gives out no heat... But yeah caution if your not VERY certain what your doing would be advised
  4. Im currently building "ZX-6" too but im trying to bend the airfix kit into shape... This one blows mine out the water ! INCREDIBLE !
  5. Another way to cheat with the infamous seam line is buy the new eduard etched set (That wasnt available when i bought mine *grr* ) It gives you some end plates that cover the problem nicely
  6. Holy thread resurgance... I wasnt expecting this wee beauty to pop up again ! Yeah shes a nice build with only really two issues. The fit of front fuselage to the back fuselage is a horrid join to clean up as it goes straight across the jet exhaust end plates... However since i built this there is now a eduard etched set that helps a great deal and i would recommend it highly.... And two the instructions show large codes across the top wings as well as the bottom... This is wrong they should only be on the bottom... Basically buy the etched set and check your references and you should have no problems at all. Any questions though feel free to message me Thanks again for all the kind words though its nice to know people like what you do Chris
  7. That faded paintwork is PERFECTION ! I'd love to know how ya did it !
  8. Top job !! Id have thought it a much bigger scale if i hadnt seen your hand !
  9. What they all said ! Lovely build and a wonderful job on the faded paintwork ! Bravo sir !
  10. Im still amazed that Airfix are missing out on doing a Victor... They already do the Vulcan and Valiant... And no-one else currently does a 1:72nd Victor Seems a obvious gap in both their catalogue AND the market in general to me... AND im not even saying this because im biased as i wouldnt have space for one myself anyway :/
