  1. Over the years I have probably read everything that can be read about Viggen in "the available" literature, been on a number of treaties on the Viggen system, met a lot of Viggen pilots and met some of the people at SAAB that worked with the development, but that JA 37 would have been used with these surveillance systems, I have never heard or read something about. In the case of the canisters KA and KB, they was not used on the JA version, SAAB introduced the JA torch trap (BOY) on the underside of the wing and for chaff this was on the rear edge of the missile rails (BOL). It has probably not been a realistic load option on the JA 37Di in the Swedish Airforce, but one should sometimes not be too sure of their thing, so I leave an open back door to someone who has more knowledge than I do. Except this about the load option it’s a realy nice model of the Viggen. Put some AIM-120 on and you have a super nice model. Keep up the good work. Nicklas Karlén IPMS Sweden
  2. This is my first kit for 2018, Kinetics Sea Harrier FRS 1. It's also the first Kinetic kit I built and it has its ups and downs. Some small stuff left to do. Thanks for looking. Nicklas/IPMS Sweden
  3. Thanks for the input. I have the SAM books and I'll take a look. /Nicklas
  4. Thanks for the information. Singel AIM-9 and a 1,000lb on the centerline. I have one of the Flightpath 1,000lb bombs that will be fine. Thanks again. Nicklas
  5. I’m in the final stages of finishing my Kinetic SHAR FRS.1 in 800 NAS, ZD698 markings from the Operation Deny Flight over Bosnia -94/95. I served as infantry in UNPRORFOR/Nordbat 2, so we had all kinds of NATO aircraft flying over our heads but we never had a chance to see them (to high and to grey). I plan to use the 190-gal tanks on my SHAR but what weapons load would be correct? Single AIM-9 launchers or twin, bombs on centerline or anything else? Any help would be fine. Thanks Nicklas
  6. The nose shape on the Sea Venom is not the same as on the NF 2. The Sea venom nose is almost circular round and the NF 2 is not. Sea Venom FAW 21 had different radar then the NF 2. The Classic Airframe Vampire NF 10 has two noses in the kit and one is correct for the Venom NF 2. The canopy on the Sea Venom kit has a different shape as well. My project is not a perfect Venom NF 2 but it’s as close as I can get it until Pilot Replicas release there Venom kits. I have two of their kits in my stash (SAAB J 21 and J 29F) and they are really nice kits Finding a Classic Airframe Sea Venom is difficult and the ones I found on Ebay are going for some really mad prices. Thanks Nicklas
  7. That is the best F-111 I have seen for a long time. You can be really proud over it, it's super. Nicklas IPMS Sweden
  8. After a long building project I have o call this project finish. I have tried to create a Dh Venom NF 51 aka Swedish Airforce J 33 in 1/48 scales. I have parts from three different kits. Nose and cockpit are from Classic Airframes Vampire NF 10, wings and midsection are Classic Airframes Venom FB 4, and tailbooms are from Aeroclub Sea Venom. It has not been a shake and bake kit at all. Parts has to be modified, I have used at least a half tube of filler. This project has spent a lot of time on the “shelf of doom”, especially since I got the news that Pilot Replicas are working on a Venom series, but a good friend told me, “finish the project and move on”, and so I did. Nicklas IPMS Sweden Some not so good pictures. This fellow help me along the time.
  9. One thing you can ad to your kit is the small box for store safety pins on the inside door of the left main landing gear. This box is only found on the danish Draken. Nicklas
  10. OK, I had that possibility in my mind too. I didn’t believe that you would make a so simple mistake when you have all the references you need. Keep posting pictures of this, I like it. Nicklas
  11. Very nice RF 35. Check your main canopy. The one you have on the pictures are for the Swedish S 35E and was not used by the Danes. Nicklas Karlén IPMS Sweden
  12. An absolute excellent exampel of the J 35B in the FOA test camouflage. The contrast between the colours is just right. As a Swede I must make a point about the "Danger and No Step" markings on the engine air intakes. You have used the ones that were used by the Finnish air force so the are in the wrong language. Except from that it's an exellent piece of work. Nicklas Karlén/ IPMS Sweden
  13. This is my AB 412SP helicopter in the Swedish army colours. The base is Heller UH-1N Twin Huey 1/48 scale, Beltcher bits conversion and alot of scratch building. The medkit, seartchlight, 30 parts in the rotorhead, alot of small things on the underside and some of the decals are homemade. The rest of the decals are from the different sheets. Only a some minor things left to do. Thanks for looking Nicklas Karlén IPMS Sweden
  14. Yes, the medical gear are scratch built. Evergreen strips, alufoil and modellclay have been used fore the gear. Thanks for looking Nicklas
  15. First post here at Britmodeller. This is my 1/48 scale Agusta Bell 412 SP or Hkp 11 as I intend to do it in the colours of the Swedish army. I have used Heller UH-1N Twin Huey kit, together with Beltcher Bits CH 146 conversion. Thanks for looking Nicklas Karlén IPMS Sweden Heres a picture of the real thing
