I agree with Simon in post #5, there are really good quality photos of Spitfires that to me show areas around the gun ports to be perfectly square with a perfect circle in the middle no evidence of a ridge on the edge of the red portion and no sign of a fired through patch. There is good photo of this in Sarkar Battle of Britain the photographic kaleidoscope on page 109. Dek.

  5. I have been thinking of picking up a few of the above as they are cheaper than the Eduard masks. Q is has anyone used them and how do they compare to the Eduard masks. Thanks in advance. Dek. P.S. not that Eduard make masks for the Az kit.

  8. Just been trawling the net again for info on these masks, on the Modelimex site there are pics of the product and they do appear to be "yellow" paper. Dek.

  18. There is a photo of LV-N/AR219 in Alfred Prices Spitfire a complete fighting history on page 191 the caption readsYellow-nosed Spitfire AR219 a Westland built MkI was flown as a "bounce aircraft" by instructors at No57 OTU at Hawarden. Dek.
  19. Hi Peter are you still planning to release masks for the 1/72nd Spitfire MkIX I see that the Bf 109 are out, and I will put my bid in for a new low back Spit XIV/XVIII and a new tool Spiteful all in 1/72nd of course. Dek.
  20. Just been to Tesco and saw the above mag lots of pics some plans looks nice didn't get it myself not sure if need it but might pick it up at the end of the week if they still have some. Dek.
  21. That IS nice, I have one on the bench at the moment and will be using the shadow compensation scheme(I think that is right) could I ask what paints you used for this scheme. Dek.
