Yes, they do. This looks like a very good kit too, so I am already looking forward to the Mig-9. The surface detail on the parts is a very nice combination of raised and engraved lines and panels The details are very nice, it looks like a reasonably well detailed model can be built with what is provided in the box, all in all after a quick look at the parts I am well happy with this kit.

This is my entry, I just received the kit in the mail this morning I have not even opened the kit bag yet to inspect the parts, so I have no idea what I am in for, but this should be fun!

Looks very good, especially with the wash and the gloss knocked back a bit. I think you hit the colors pretty well.

Oh yes, I am a huge fan of your decals, and know it will be worth the wait. Kind of why I am holding off, waiting for a better alternative in markings choices for the FB.

This will be interesting to watch! I live in Rochester and remember well the FB-111's flying around quite a bit. I have the Academy kit with almost all the Scale Down add ones to one day build as a 509th bird, I keep putting it off, my current excuse is I am waiting for Caracal to release their promised F-111 decals! At least you made it to the show........I started twice, but never got out of town.....

I apologize, I have no connection to the guy doing the review, it is just the only review of the actual kit I have found so far. I am rather disappointed by how the kit seems to go together. I was very hopeful that since Kitty Hawk apparently scanned a real aircraft, that care or effort would be translated into a more accurate and well though out kit. I have this kit and their Su-34 on pre-order, I had hoped I put my money on the better option, but now I am not so sure

There is a build review on YouTube, in several parts. Doesn't get deep into accuracy, but does point out a couple of omissions. It looks like the multi-part fuselage and spine will be a challenge to get together nicely. Construction wise, it looks like somewhat of missed opportunity. That being said, I do have one on preorder from a shop so will build it when it comes in.

Here is a silly question, if one were so inclined to propose an article for publication, how would they go about contacting the editor to propose said article? I would be interested in proposing an article or too but would rather like to have some feedback before hand.

That is a decent little kit, and quite colorful when done, but as has already been mentioned, the decals are pretty horrible and do not settle down well at all, at least they didn't on mine. Flagon

Thank you all for the replies.......although some are a little intimidating. To be honest I have no real idea what the kit is worth, and it reall dosn't matter now! I would prefer to be one of the few who have built the kit than one of those who "have" the kit Since resin details are provided for the airbrakes, I think I will build them open and add whatever extra detail might be needed. This is a big project, so I am clearing up some smaller projects (long overdue to be finished) to allow more room for this on the bench. Again, I appericiate all your comments and support. Flagon

After a plesant day working on the Bucc, this is where I managed to get to; got the verticle tail together but when trying to alighn the resin fin tip I just could not be certain that everything would be correct later on when I added it to the fuselage, so I decided that I would go all in and get the heavy construction out of the way now. This way I will be able to check fit and alighnments aginst the fuselage, I outlined the fuselage halfs with a Sharpie and then cut them out by scribing around them with an X-Acto knife held at about a 45' angle to the part. This effectively reduces the amount of plastic you have to sand off the edge of the part, As you can see all that remains for sanding is just a thing strip of plastic, I learned this from Bill Koster many years ago and works really well. I was really surprised at how thin the plastic in the kit was, especially on the large fuselarge halves. Even though bulkheads are provided, these seemed to be less that adequite for the size of this beast and the subsquent handling it will be subjected to during construction, so I decided to add a keel to the fuselage to further streaghten it. After the fuse halfs were sanded, I traced their outline onto some spare sheet plastic and then cut out the keel pieces and sanded them till they just dropped into the fuselage; this is important as you do not want to force these in and distort the fuselage shape. The kit supplied bulkheads were added to the fuselage, then the keel pieces were cut to fit between them and superglued into place. I prefer superglue as it will give a good bond and will not soften the plastic as solvent glues will, sometimes leaving a "ghost" of the bulkhead on the outside of the parts. The keel piece has not beed added between the rear bulkheads yet as there are a couple cutouts to be made in the lower area and I will have to fit the keel piece around that, but at least everything lines up so far. Yeah, this thing is rather huge While I am now fussing with the fuselage I need to decide if I have the speed brakes open or closed.......opinions on this welcomed; I haven't really decided which would be best to display them, Flagon.

Okay, here we go! I have had this kit for a number of years and with the forthcomming Trumpy Bucc this kit will be redundant, and hopefully with the encouragement of this group build I will be able to at last build this kit, I had been saving it for a special occasion and this must be it First the box shots The box is a little rough, but everything in it seems fine, I think I will work through this in sub assembleis to make it easier and that way I can treat each on as its own model, Alot of areas will need to be rescribed and details added. I shoud add as well that while I intend to do extra detailing, If I start getting to the point of obsessing too much about every littl nut or bolt, it is a sign to move on from that. Hopefully this will keep me from too many road blocks or builders blocks during the building of this.

I will throw my Bucc into the ring as well. I will try my hand at the 32nd scale Aerodynamix kit. Since we have six months to complete this I with either succede or become discouraged and fail miserberly Flagon

If it is not too late I would like to join in if I could with an A-12 Avenger II in operational markings as if it went into service. I have the weekend free and would like to start this build, unfortunately the camera is away with the family Thank you.

Well, I'm making progress though I may not get pictures posted before I leave for work....doing some boring stuff anyway, not much to show. As I mentioned before the hull casting was a little rough, so this morning I brushed on a couple of heavy coats of Tamiya Surface Primer and will wet sand that down which will hopefull smooth out the hull a little, then drill holes for the mounting stand. I have also been doing some research to find out where all the little bits go as the instructions for this are long gone. But that is okay, as I am just glad to be building this, as this kit is out of production; at least I have the parts and the chance to build it. I think I will finish it as the Opossum for a couple of reasons. First (no offense), but what the heck is a name like that for a ship of war More importantly though, duing the Gulf War, she wore a camoflauge scheme of light blue disruptive patches, which is unique for a modern submarine, and should look really cool if I can manage to replicate it well.

Here is my entry, a resin 1/350 scale Oberon class submarine. I do not remember the manufacturer of this kit, other than I believe they were from Australia and produced this kit and a Collins class sub. The cool thing was that the kits were packaged in tubes! They were released about 12-15 years ago, and I built the Collins right away and have held onto this one since. The casting is okay, not really great, so the first thing will be to get the hull cleaned up and re-scribed. After that it should go together quite well.
