  1. Jorgen, this is amongst the best modelling i've ever seen my friend, utterly stunning, I wish my father was still with us as he was a huge fan of the Auto Union GP Cars.
  2. I know this probably sounds a bit OTT but back in the late '70's I was building Airfix's 72nd scale Mossie as an NFII but when I went to paint the exterior I found my Humbrol matt black was a thickened gloopy mess as I'd left the lid loose and I was out of thinners, so I looked for an alternative, the only thing I could find was some of my sisters nail polish remover! so I tipped some in and got to the correct consistency to brush paint It went on brilliant, but it dried to the most matt finish I'd ever seen, and looked perfect to my eyes, this technique might by worth experimenting with on some scrap plastic to see if it still works..
  3. Interestingly the Tamiya kit has for me a glaring error, believe it or not the rudder is four scale inches to tall, it's easily sorted but it's there. Remember the Airfix kit came out in 1973 and it still builds up well, the mold is a bit tired, but I reckon you'll see a new 48th scale version in the near future
  4. That's an interesting snippet, must be the big Hurricane hopefully
  5. https://www.flintsauctions.com/auction/lot/420-lancaster-bomber-cockpit/?lot=19220 Fantastic attention to detail, also there's some great Hi-Res photo's for anyone with a big Lanc in their stash....

  9. I have the 1/6th Scale Tamiya Honda CB750F kit, but I want to make it as a slightly later variant which has a satin black finished engine, the kits engine has a lot of chrome plated parts, I want to remove the chrome plate, is there a safe method of doing this? TIA Rob

  12. I'm a Brit expat now living in Akron Ohio, thankfully our local world market has Yorkshire Gold in stock most of the time, but if I really want the finest brew then only Resolution Tea from Bothams of Whitby will do, utter perfection in a little bag, and yes they deliver to the USA, the biscuits are to die for...... Botham's of Whitby - shop Whitby by post, Whitby Hampers and perfect gifts from Yorkshire
  13. Ithink you just need to paint the 20mm Cannon ejection ports on the forward part of the Bombay (Armament bay) but other than that it's a cracker!
