  1. I am now finishing (I hope!) for forthcoming Telford an S-1 conversion. It's a seal "putty eater" kit !! A big choice of finish in the model alliance sheet and a lot of serials to mix up as well. By the way on ebay right now at a reasonable price.
  2. Thank you I am aready thinking how to overcome the issue (vacuforming or building a new plasticard frame with clear parts in between). I doubted only about availability yet.
  3. The ESCI/Italeri kit has many issues: Wing chord shorter than to scale; wrong windshield; wrong shape of front fuselage and air intakes; no exixtent LDG bays; short (to say the least) exhaust; toy like cockpit and bang seat;.... Frech Firm "Renaissance" sells a complete set of resin parts and vaucoform canopy; http://www.renaissance-models.com/ter/index.php/avions-toutes-echelles/echelle-1-48/produits/902-amd-ba-mirage-f1-1-48
  4. You can also check this link I hope useful (I am Riccardo Vestuto!) https://theaviationist.com/2009/04/21/f-104-versions-explained/ Ric.
  5. Hi all, does anybody have recently bought this or other items, from them on the internet site? I wrote some days ago for informations but no answer yet. Thanks and greetings from Italy. Ric.
  6. I should not worry about. I have built two of them. The almost RLM 66 overall pit and the small windows don't let you see little more than nothing ! The box details look enough to show a busy office from the outside ! Some seat belts will do. My two cents. Ric.
  7. Italian AF adopted the all gray camo in 1994 but the very first F-104 so painted was an ASA MM 6721 by ALENIA during June/July 1995 and delivered to IAF December 7th 1995 to 51st wing, coded 51-06. All the ASA-M were painted all gray and few ASA. The official FS was: 36280. All the best. Riccardo
  8. Beautiful work up now. A friend of mine checked the fuselage on a scale drawings and it seems to be more or less 5~6 mm longer then a correct 1/48 scale reduction. The older Revell kit is spot on instead! Have you already verified this? All the best. Riccardo Italy
  9. Be whatchful ! C-2 Lockheed seat was used on G only and the first batch of TF (12 planes) until 1969/1970. After that date were gradually all upgraded with MB fitted during the IRAN. Italian MB is a little different from the german one. The headrest in not as rounded as GAF one. Have a look here (pics of mine and from the official manuals): Enjoy!
  10. For the CVV you should have to modify the dashboard with a switches panel instead of the RADAR scope. I have (somewhere!) a photo. Maybe I can scan it tonight.
  11. I should need the scan of the above model instruction sheet; not complete but only the page(s) showing the camo & markings for the argentine ones included in the box. Could anyone help me? TIA. Riccardo
  12. Hi All, according to the technical manuals I own and some original color chips taken during painting of the real aircraft, the nose colour is FS 16473. This colour is prone to fade quickly to any shade from the original one to off white. The choice is yours but keep an eye to pics of the plane you want to reproduce. Greetings from Italy.
