  1. Great job on the RF-84s Chris. Lightnings are very smart too.
  2. I’ve been off LTS since breaking my ankle at Christmas so had a very quiet couple of months. Off to the sim next week so time to get my head in the books again. The it will be back to the melee. …
  3. Hi Matt. Yes I am. Converted back in the summer. Great aeroplane. How’s life on the 78?
  4. Nice job Matt. I enjoy watching your decal making skills even though I am a confirmed Chatham supporter!
  5. I just get that for personal messages. I can delete whole conversations but in the past I have been able to delete individual messages from conversations. It frees up plenty of space without losing the whole thread. Maybe that was an older forum format.
  6. I only get Report or Share when I press the 3 dots (or edit for my own messages)? No delete option as far as I can see.
  7. What is the best way to make space in the mailbox? Deleting whole conversations only seems to free up 1% space. Is there a way to delete individual messages from conversations?
  8. That’s stunning Tom. Love the colour scheme
  9. That’s excellent. A great idea done really well!
  10. I was just looking at the Frrom website about the new 1/48 Super Mystere kit and it states that “finally some planes were painted in a standard French grey/green camouflage”. I have never seen a Super Mystere in the grey/ green scheme, only the Vietnam style camo. I have found a photo of a nose section in a museum in France that appears to be grey/green but I think it is likely to be a museum repaint. Does anyone know of any Super Mysteres in the later scheme - it would make an interesting model! Cheers
  11. Hi Flight grading - Chipmunk (Roborough) EFTS - Bulldog T1 (Topcliffe probably but not sure exactly when RNEFTS moved there) BFTS - Jet Provost T3A/T5A (think all the RN students went through Linton) AFTS - Hawk T1 (Valley. Possibly Gnat or Hunter depending when they went through) TWU. - Hawk T1 (Brawdy or Chivenor. Possibly Hunter at Brawdy) then to Wittering for Harrier training
  12. Thanks Dave. That’s really interesting about SR915. The caption says that some TT10s had their target towing gear replaced by the pod - obviously not! Unfortunately I can’t find any more photos of the aircraft. I’d looked at that picture of RD850 too. I think it is the standard nose but looks strange with the line round it.
  13. I found a picture of a TT10 with a thimble nose (SR915) in an old copy of Planes magazine (issue 8). It has a target towing pod under the fuselage and slightly non standard markings with c type roundels under the wings and the serial is white where it overlaps the black stripes. The caption says that some TT10s had their target towing gear replaced with a pod but I can’t find any other pictures of that or an aircraft with the thimble nose. All the other TT10s around that serial have the short nose.
  14. The actual plastic is a C1 with the leading edge extensions in place. Mach2 market it wrongly. Their K2 displayed at Telford when it was released definitely had a C1 wing (just checked the picture).
  15. Hi Mick i don’t have the Mach 2 kit but as far as I know it is a C1 and C1K from the box. The nose profile is appalling though! I don’t know of a Contrail kit - do you mean the Airways vacform? It is the C1 as well. To build a K2 you would need to cut back the wing leading edge extensions so that it is a straight line from root to tip and modify the wing fences. The engine stub wings are different too but hard to explain without pictures! There are a few builds of the 2 kits here on BM to check out for more detail. Cheers Glen
  16. Hi Matt Only just caught up with the thread. Great news that you’ve finished your CRS escape tunnel. Welcome back! Cheers Glen
  17. Just received wheel sets for the Brit, 10 and Argosy from Kev. They look excellent and I hope there are more planned. Really quick delivery too - thanks Kev. Cheers Glen
  18. It has the overhead ejection handles so I’d say a 4. The 10 only has the lower handle as AFAIK.
  19. I’ve been visiting the shop for about 20 years on and off but walked in today to find them packing up. Fred’s mum died recently and as she ran the shop he is having to close down. Just a few models left there. Sad day as it was just about the last model shop left in Manhattan.
  20. That’s a great job Chris. I’ve had the conversion for years but never dared tackle it!
