  6. just something for me as a exersise to see if i could do it, Airco DH-1 my commission work as been sold all over the world with no complaints, two book done in collaberation with Alex Crawford and another massive one coming up if i get it finished the Blackburn Buccaneer, i am always open to criticism because i am only human and that is how you improve, my work does not look pretty as some, but it is 99% accurate, as for using computor programs, i use neither of the two you mention just a very old steam powered Jasc psp7, i cannot even write my name now with a pen due to Essential Tremor, my first work that went out there was a Rolls Royce, Chineese six configuration made famous by Sylvia Anderson whom ask me for the drawing, but never ever did i want it pink !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, now lets see your work
  7. commission job for Boeing, their XF6B , they were more than happy
  8. Buccaneer tailhook, but hey it lacks detail !!!!!!!!
  9. by the way there is now 630 meteor profiles plus lots of brigands buckmaster and buckingham, both these types are now in books from Mushroom, also lots more of different types and my latest mega task of doing EVERY blackburn buccaneer with every colour scheme each aircraft wore dduring its service life, this will be 800+, if i live long eneough

  11. hu guy, there is or was a site listing RN carrier deployments and aircraft numbers also ships magazines, but i have lost the link, can anyone help
  12. thank you very much gingerbob, becuase i was so engrossed in everything else i put the engine/wing layer on in the wrong place, without your input i would be looking a complete idiot (shut up Dogsbody) here is the correct setup tempsea scheme 1 chintest3 by john smith, on Flickr
  13. hahaha you daft sod, the nose is the only thing that is 100% correct, it had to be with all the grief i gave Chris. yes doing all the one i can get images for starting with the Mk1 going all the way through to the RAAF frieghtr versions, could be worse than my meteors which ended up with 630 done. so any hidden gems you have for the RCAF one you know my email, i already have all of them from your Flickr account
  14. uk based at first, mk2 will come later, i have done K-WA kiiller with its original colours, dk earth/ dk grren with the black overspray, this needs the changes as done on Y-WA props and hatch window w6498 by john smith, on Flickr
  15. looking for info or images of 42 sqn aircraft, here is the first one done tempsea scheme 1 chintest by john smith, on Flickr
  16. hi everyone, Dogsbody put me on to this, 161 sqn Hudson started my profile career, i was commisioned to do this for James Kightly to present to a crew members family, we did a vast amount of research on the aircraft and crew, there are no known images of MA-Q and there is no known proof of how the agent lleft the aircraft, the first profile is as per the presentation image, second is showing the ventral chute used for agent droping and the third is the RAAF door removed version, so take your pick, the colours on MA-Q were standard night bomber (confirmed), if anyone as other info i would love to see it.
  17. can anyone help me with official marking details for these aircraft, my main concern is the lower wing serial, was this painted on all, i have only found one photo concerning this and the plane was camouflaged
  18. oh so very true, tis a daily battle for us profiile artists, when i shuffle off this mortal coil my hard drives are to be destroyed
  19. also 1200+ views of tthese images, so they are not being spread all over the internet then !, as you well know Chris what i have been given privately over the years i have NEVER shared.
