  1. Am fighting with this kit - there are quite a few issues. Can anyone point me towards a set of resin wheels/tyres for this model please? Thanks in advance, Peter
  2. I know there are some very knowledgeable guys out there, so if someone can help me, I would appreciate it. Colour blindness is my problem. Could someone please tell me the paint reference numbers (Humbrol, Gunze, Tamiya, Testors etc) to - as near as dammit - the orange and green of the Indian Navy/Air Force roundels and fin markings? I have the Mal Mayfield masks ready to go! Peter
  3. #@?*!£ hell, I'm glad to read that I am only an anomalous trichromat rather than a complete dichromat. However, just between you and me Troy, I am sure that I have heard Jenko calling me what sounded like being a complete dichromat at times! Seriously, I have the red/green problem e.g. cannot see poppies in a field, and fail the Hishigawa (coloured dots) test miserably. Not normally a problem with model colouring with only one of my cammo models having caused raised eyebrows. Provided the instructions give 'solid' paint manufacturer's colours eg Humbrol 53 as opposed to Revell's mixing method, then there is no problem. If the new Airfix instructions are red against black print, it should be OK for anomalous trichromats like me Thanks for the info. Peter
  4. Looking very nice Dick. Hope to see it at the next club meeting. BTW, the Connie is going on....and on................and on..........andzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Peter
  5. Looks very nice modelldoc. I think there must be some more pics out there though! Thanks for replying. Peter
  6. I am modifying the 1/72 Heller 'TWA' Connie kit to an Indian Navy Maritime Recce aircraft - the one that is on display at the Naval Air Museum in Goa - reg. IN 315, an ex Air India Super 'G'. There are a few photographs on the web (Google Indian Navy Constellations), with the best ones appearing to be on the forum.keypublishing.com site that is headed GOA-Dabolim-Museum. Apart from those pics, does anyone have or know of any others of this aircraft, especially depicting the starboard side. A 'walkround' would be like gold dust! A 'walkround' from it's operational days circa 1975 would be like a lottery win!! Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Peter
  7. Cancel that request guys - after a three hour search I have found my reference book! Peter
  8. I have mislaid my reference book. Does anyone have any pics of the Connie's flap linkages. I am installing Paul Fisher's resin set and would appreciate any illustrations. Peter
  9. Hi all - Have just returned to this site after an absence of a couple of years and it is nice to be back! I have just completed 1/12 Mr Hobby (Gunze) motorcycle kit of a road going BSA Gold Star 500 and have converted it into a Clubman's racer of around 1960. What I want to do is to display this bike on a trailer which I will scratch build. I need a pair of 1/12 car wheels and tyres of the period (late 50's early 60's) such as a pair of Mini wheels or something of that ilk which is proving difficult to find. Does anyone have anything like that in their spares boxes please? Suitable funds and postage will be forwarded. Many thanks. Peter
  10. Hi Mike, FYI I have just compared your pics with the 'official' Eduard sets (32664 and 33065) in my possession - they are identical. Peter
  11. Hi M M, That is one very nice build and paint job. I have the donor kit too........................................ Well done, Peter
  12. Hi Jim, When you posted the pics without the Jumo I said that this was your best yet. With the Jumo this confirms it. Superb paintwork and a credit to you. Peter
  13. Hi Jim, That is one fabulous finish matey and, if I am not mistaken, your best yet. I think you have captured the perfect scale finish there - beautiful airbrushing and 'washing' as witnessed in the wheel bays. Well done indeed. Peter
  14. Hi James, What a cracker! This was well worth the wait to see a fantastic model. Well done. Peter
