  1. as the topic states, I am trying to track down the serial/squadron code combinations for Corsairs that operated in the Atlantic. There is VERY little info out there regarding this and I am hoping that someone around here has a peice of important history tucked away somewhere. specifically I am looking for NAS 1834, 1836, 1841 and 1842, but the holy grail is the aircraft that Robert "Hammy" Gray flew during operation "goodwood". If anybody has ANY information on this topic PLEASE share. I would like to compile it all so every little bit helps. Sean
  2. wow...I wasn't aware that the B-32 actually flew in combat. I ahe ever only seen that one promotional pic of it. Sean
  3. any chance you can get me a few pictures of those??? I want to put a few up on my webpage. You will get full credit. Sean
  4. beautiful work. I am doing a NFTC hawk for a friend right now and I am using the CMK cockpit as well. I was jsut wondering..did you use the vacuform canopy or did you use the kit one??? I am at odds over which will look/work the best. Thanks, Sean
  5. I have an already built one that was given to me out of an estate sale. The landing gear and bay doors are missing..and it needs to be cleaned up. I am going to say up front..it is in VERY rough shape!!!!! I can take some pics and send them to you, and I'd be willing to part with it if you are interested. let me know. Sean
  6. Beautiful!!!! I love that paint scheme..it looks good on any plane. It sure looks alot better than the current "baby blue" scheme great job Sean
  7. beautiful work. I always love the raspberry ripple scheme!!! looks good on anything. Sean
  8. is it possible that they have a large number of engine covers, some with the writing, some with out... and hey jsut get swapped around when in maintenance?? it seems like a large waste of money to keep repainting something as minor as an engine cover Sean
  9. The one we had here in Ottawa had the Volga-Dnepr on the outer and inner engines Sean
  10. I have a freind who built this and it truly is a beast. by the wya..he left most of the decals off!!! If you are looking for some reference photos..try here. Sean
  11. If this build turns out anything liek your Hood..I'm going to keep my eyes on this one!! Looks good so far. Sean
  12. beautiful build. This is an amzing model knowing that it is a matchbox...im blown away. Your painting technique is superb..I never would ahve guessed it is brush painted. Sean
  13. Its looking great!!! And I also see you are a fan of DUNE. I am jsut finishing up God Emporer now. it is an amazing series so far!!! as for weathering...I jsut took the plunge one day...and honestly...it is very hard to mess up. I use a water based childrens paint so if I add to much..I just wipe it all off and start over. I also use tamiya smoke for exhausts...so again..I can pretty much wipe it off if I don;t like the look(i use MM enamels for my bas painting). Sean
  14. looking great!!! The markings nad paint looks great. Can't wait to see this thing weathered Sean
