  1. Think I have found the shop on Google earth - called Phantom on Dluga 5, Krakow - looks as if it is a bookshop as well. I shall go and have a look in October! 50° 4'1.55"N 19°56'20.05"E Further to that - it's still there - got a goodly stock of kits with some secondhand and the prices are cheaper than the UK...
  2. Nice Hobbycraft Beavers seem to be hard to come by - been looking for a floatplane version for ages..
  3. I'll be getting one - Remember making it as a lad and struggling to get the fuselage halves to join neatly as there was so much detail inside - and forgetting to add any noseweight. Hopefully make a better job of the re-release.
  4. And it loooks as if the first lot of Phantoms has sold out already - mine didnt arrive that was on pre-order with air miles.....I mean flying hours:( Pre-Order New Tool £24.99 Item Code: A06016 Expected: February 2018

  6. I hope so as I preordered a Phantom and a Sea Fury using Airfix Air miles and have been told by Airfix they won't ship them until they are both in stock. Worried that the Phantom stocks will disappear before the SF turns up.....
  7. There are always a few bits extra in most kits
  8. There's nice artwork on Adam Tooby's website showing a Hampden.......and a Lockheed Lightning , Starfighters...and others - perhaps these give another clue as what is about to appear...
  9. Miniatur Wunderland is superb. http://www.miniatur-wunderland.com Hamburg's not a bad place to visit either - great shopping and restaurants to keep any others in the party happy... ;
  10. Great museum - some really interesting exhibits there.
  11. Would they have had to go all the way to Seattle to scan it tho? There are other ones closer to home.. And there's not a lot of room around it for the technical scannng equipment - if it has been scanned that is - guess we'll find out in good time.
  12. If it has to be bigger than a HE111 there's not a lot in the MofF that, IMHO think, would fit Airfix's wishes - other than Airliners, B52, B47.... could be a Concorde - but not sure how well the original 1/72 scale one (with all its faults) sold.
  13. From Seattle MofF - must be the P38 ...but it was dangling from the ceiling in the summer....or a P or B47! OR.... how about a 1/72 Boeing P8 Posiedon - they build them there....... RAF's newest...

  16. A400 and Herc in VERY close formation over Northampton 10 mins ago
  17. Very odd decision indeed - how will that attract new subscribers exactly?
  18. https://www.360cities.net/image/yakovlev-yak-28-soviet-military-aircraft-at-the-riga-aviation-museum?utm_source=google_earth&utm_medium=all_images it's not what you are after but it may help..
  19. I remember some of he aircraft used in the film were at Sywell.
  20. I get a sort of muffled 'ding' - which is not unpleasant. For what its worth - I converted to a Mac just over a year ago after messing about with pc's for years. It's not perfect, they are expensive and it did take some time to get my head around it, but I don't think that I would ever go back.
  21. got it now! - but it sounds harmless . No idea how to describe it tho'...
