  1. I saw this incident from the Park and View on the Friday and it was 2005. Heard on the radio Stop Stop Stop or something like that he then proceeded to height to burn some gas. It was the closest I have come to seeing an aircraft go in (apart from the Russians at RIAT that actually did !) I honestly thought the next thing I was going to see was an ejection but for the power of those engines it would have been. A ground crew friend was at the dispersal with the Typhoon ground crew chatting he phoned to ask me if it was a close as they suspected as he had disappeared behind the grandstands they too thought the next thing would have been an ejection. The whole park and view area went momentarily silent. When he taxied past the PnV he never looked at the crowd just busied himself in the cockpit probably cleaning away the brown adrenaline !. To his credit within probably an hour he was back out doing a revised display having taken out the manoeuvre that got him into trouble. I have a couple of other videos of the incident on my website here: Typhoon Videos Cheers Dave
  2. Thanks Edgar for the advice I'll give it a go Is that on the seperate componants of the wing or the complete wing ? Dave
  3. My first serious attempt at building a kit for many many years has hit what seems to be a comman problem with the left wing being really warped. But from what I can see the fuselage is not bowed in like others have said. Now I see that people say warm water can sort this out but does anyone know of an idiots guide on how to do this step by step? Probably sounds like a stupid question to most of you experienced guys here but ..... I suppose my other question is do you make up the wing glue it n all and then reshape or is it better to try and get the individual componants as straight as possible and then glue and reshape. Thanks in advance Dave
  4. Maybe these images are better then More II(AC) Sqn Images
  5. Not seen this posted here but for the decal'ers out there how easy is it going to be to reproduce this then ? NoII(AC) Sqn Special Cheers Dave
  6. Maybe my wording was slightly incorrect the Sqn has never been stood down the Phantom to Jaguar transition as far as I can tell was over night, more info can be found here: 6 Sqn Association Still a shame that the famous 'Can Openers' are likely to be turned into tins requiring a can opener !!!
  7. And back on topic not seen this mentioned on this thread..... 6 Sqn was the last squadron of the Royal Air Force never to have been disbanded prior to the withdrawal of the Jaguar early. Formed in 1914 and never once stood down Thanks Tony for destroying a squadrons unique history. I have seen a photo of a desert cat that has been painted recently as part of the draw down but can't remember where.
  8. Hi All, Just wanted to add one more link for Lightning Resources I hope you don't mind a self indulgent plug for my own website but here goes: Lightning Resources I am just coming back to Modeling after 20+ years and hope to kick off soon with a Lightning (surprise surprise) I will also be taking more images at airshows and events that I hope others will be able to use for their modeling and include those on my website as 'walk arounds' Thanks Dave
