  1. wonderfull build I think these old airfix superkits can still hold there own compared to trumpeters newer offerings and your hurri and spit aptly proves the point.Well done!
  2. Great build from an old kit got it just about perfect!Well done.(looking forward to the monstersize mossie from airfix!)
  3. Looks a real stunner if thats the correct price it will be a real bargain especialy when compared to dragons Me 110 at £70!and the prices of trumpeter models in this scale,Im assuming the release must be soon?
  4. fab models and a great choice of schemes particularily like the south african markings and the sabredog.
  5. Wow,words fail me,simply stunning must have cost a few bob just in paint!
  6. fantastic build and a very fine tribute to the young guys that flew these machines,
  7. Looks fantastic - the lightning certainly looks the part in natural metal.Love those 60s and 70s RAF schemes.
  8. Youve done full justice to the model ,nicely weathered,Ive got the trumpeter kit aswell ,In my humble opinion the airfix model still has the edge. Is that the propellor that came with the kit ?it looks like it could be from the airfix spit? Great work.
  9. Thats my bubble burst!I suppose theres no truth in the rumour of a trumpeter 1/32 jaguar? I suppose theyll remain on my wish list then!
  10. I have heard (via a revell rep "unable to comment but cant deny"!)that there are plans for a 1/32 F3! released possibly later this year. If true that would be nice!
  11. I build almost exclusively aviation subjects but it doesnt stop me from appreciating other modelling subjects this is simply wonderfull work and it never ceases amaze me the quality of such builds. awsome. mark.
  12. great build and love the colour scheme, cockpit detail looks a massive improvement on whats provided with the kit. weathering looks great too.well done.
  13. superb airbrushing and no sign of carrier film round the markings ! love it, well done. nice photography too. mark.
  14. Hi gunpowder, Im a little confused with the No as this would make it a P47 bubble top could the no be 27877? Either way this would be a republic built p47 and would have left the factory with a chromate yellow cowling. hope this helps mark.
  15. Hi bob, as far as i can see from my reference the your P47 (RE) was from a batch of 400 (75215-75614)built in 1942 at farmingdale so was a the blueish green .Also looking at my reference i got my facts wrong as both farmingdale and evansville were republic sites not (curtiss)so both sites painted there cocpits this colour.Curtiss did make a small batch of P47s ( Known as P47Gs)and it was these that had the chromate green interior.
