  1. I would like to join with an Airfix Chippy please. I'll probably start it at the beginning of April. Many thanks Tony
  2. Alberto, I'm going to mask and paint after fixing the clear parts. The reason is that some of them should be fixed before the fuselage halves are glued together. TrojanThunder, those Roos aren't even rats...they're going Here's a brief update. You'll see that I've accidentally pushed in one of the top windows, and also a side window (on the other side) whilst filling and sanding. I've left the doors off until the last minute to give me some chance of fixing it. Cheers Tony
  3. I've got the cockpit sprayed and decalled where it needs it, and also all parts off the sprue. I'll post a photo once I have something to show. Cheers Tony
  4. Hi Everyone, I'd like to join with this kit please. As this is the first helo I've built in many years, I'm just going to build it, no mods. Cheers Tony
  5. Hi Everyone, I think I've got time to squeeze out the 190 from this kit before the deadline. It will fit into my project of 'Foreign 190s'. Cheers Tony
  6. Hi Everyone, I built the Revell Hunter with Freightdog conversion and Fantasy Printshop decals (Xtradecal Roundels) for the Hunter ST GB II. It's the fourth of five aerobatic team Hunters that I am building for a project. Here's the link to the WIP in the GB. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235001843-tonys-172-hawker-hunter-ga11-rough-diamonds/ Cheers Tony
  7. Hmmm, I noticed the last day of this GB was rapidly approach, so I got motoring on this thing. It's the Revell Hunter FGA.9 with the Freightdog GA11 conversion set, Fantasy Printshop decals with Xtradecal roundels and fin flashes. I hope that you like it. I started a project some time ago to build 5 aerobatic team Hunters, this is the fourth of them. Cheers Tony
  8. Progressing thru the paint work. Next I'll finish the cockpit and canopy then mask up for the extra dark sea grey upper surfaces. Cheers Tony
  9. I've done some work on my Hunter. Completed construction. There were some pin holes in the resin that were a little troublesome, but got there. Primed with Tamiya aerosol fine white primer. Underside is Tamiya gloss acrylic white. Masked and sprayed the fluoro panels. more to come.... Cheers Tony
  10. Really nice model Charlie, I can't find a fault. What paints did you use for the camo ? Regards Tony
  11. I've got this thing ready to prime now, after a few days of clean up and rescribing the panel lines that needed it. Cheers Tony
  12. Thanks Rich. I enjoyed the build, it's what we do And yes, I feel much better. Cheers Tony
  13. Hi Colin, There are decals for a GA11 of both the 'Rough Diamonds' and 'Blue Herons' on Fantasy Printshop Airfile sheet 72-003, which I have. I may do the 'Blue Herons' after this one, but I'm not sure yet. Cheers Tony
  14. I've finally finished this build. I had a bout of serious ill health mid way through and didn't build for quite a while. Once I got back to it, I really just wanted to complete it and move on. The decals are from the kit, the colours are as recommended by the instructions. In the end I'd say it's a pretty tough build and I'd like to try an Esci F-5A before I turn to this kit again. Cheers Tony
  15. Thanks guys. I've raced ahead with this one, I've just used the kit pieces and decals for the cockpit, as with it closed its difficult to see much more than the seat. I cleaned up the inside of the intakes, filled the ejection pin marks there, and closed it all up. These photos shows the Alley Cat conversion parts in place for the nose wheel bay, nose and rear fuselage. The next phase is to clean this all up. Cheers Tony
