  1. Thanks all for the kind words, Not the most accurate of kits, but it doesn't scrub up too bad. Once again, work & family is limiting my benchtime, but I hope to get more done in the next few weeks. Cheers Andy
  2. Hello all, Just a short note to say I've posted this finished build over in the Armour Forum. Andy
  3. Greetings all, I have just returned from just short of a month in the US with the family, which also included trips to Aberdeen Proving Ground & the US Army Ordnance Museum, USS Wisconsin in Norfolk, Virginia and the Eigth Air Force Museum in Savannah, Georgia as well as a 2 week Dineyfest. This build was as a gift to my former Boss from my Iraq tour in '03. A USMC LAV-25 from the first Gulf War. This was built and finished in 2 weeks and although probably not my best work, I am very pleased with the way it turned out. OOB build except for detailing the exhaust with brass mesh. Brush painted with Citadel and Tamiya acrylics. Here be pictures...All comments welcomed as usual. Andy
  4. Greetings, Boys & Girls... Apologies for an apparent lack of response to your kind words, but I have been overseas for nearly a month and have only just returned. Thanks very much for your comments, they are much appreciated. Some replies... Darren, you are right that the tracks are a little too uniform, but sadly the pictures have come out oddly tinted and in reality they are not as red as they appear. Pete, the foliage is made from "Erika Moss" which I aquired from a florist wholesaler in High Wycombe. Bex, thank you... topiary with a difference . Paul, thank you too. I am particularly pleased & proud of the KT scheme. Best regards all, Andy
  5. Beautifully done scheme. 1/144? Far too small for me to even contemplate. What Orange did you use? Andy
  6. Thanks again Boys & Girls. Seeing all the Jags being done so well on here I'll have to finish off the two I started. Andy
  7. Thanks alot for the thumbs-up chaps. There will be more AAA when I get round to the Gepard & the Sa-6 Gainful. Andy
  8. Another "Veteran". This one is the Tamiya Panther G Late Production with ModelKasten workable tracks. The Ambush cam was an involved process but I am very pleased with the way it came out. All comments welcomed. Andy Here be pictures! Panther G Late of 7 Tk Bn, "Vets" Regt.
  9. I like that a lot. Very nice Wellington. I look forward to the detail pics. Andy
  10. Extremely nice Jag there. Weathering is very good. Andy (Former 54(f) Sqn)
  11. Thanks for the kind words chaps. I hope to actually get a few more finished this year. Loads of stuff on the go, I just need to focus on the final stages a bit better. I forgot to mention that it is 1/48th scale. Cheers Andy
  12. More 1/35th builds of kit designed to ruin a pilots day. Firstly Trumpeter's Sa-2 Guideline Surface-to-Air missile on its launcher,OOB and finished with Tamiya paints Next the older Dragon kit of the ZSU-23-4, again OOB. All comments welcomed as usual. Andy
  13. My first Winged post, (I mainly model armour & helos). Italeri 2 seat Typhoon built OOB. All comments welcomed. Andy
  14. Thanks for the encouraging words everyone. As you will see from some other threads I am putting up there are more Divisional Assets on the way. Cheers Andy
  15. Nick, Other good easy/fun builds in 1/35th are any of the Tamiya Challengers or the AFV CVR(T)s. Andy
