Thanks for all the great comments guys! Really appreciate it, this is also my first model post on here. Probably the best model I've ever made
  3. B-2 Spirit - Modelcollect 1/72

I know, it's wingspan is insane! It has the same wingspan as the B-52! Unbelievable for a 1:72 model

  7. B-2 Spirit - Modelcollect 1/72

Really?!? Have I posted the photos incorrectly? I just copied the Photobucket direct link in, they're there for me. Thanks, the wingspan is 73cm! Brush painting was particularly difficult over and around the masked areas, the underside isn't as sharp as the top but still decent.
  8. Overall incredibly pleased, very good kit, there were a few tricky bits where I had to do some DIY but overall very solid and easy to build. Expensive kit though! I studied a lot of photos of the B-2 and pretty much each of the 21 aircraft is different(Different panels, shapes, shades of grey…) So I didn’t outright copy one plane, I kind of created my own finish on it using lots of inspirations. However I did go for a more ‘patchwork’ finish rather than going for a plain finish. Have a look at these photos of the B-2: http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/18410/usafs-controversial-new-plan-to-retire-b-2-and-b-1-bombers-early-is-a-good-one https://wall.alphacoders.com/by_sub_category.php?id=207234&name=Northrop+Grumman+B-2+Spirit+Wallpapers http://www.centcom.mil/MEDIA/NEWS-ARTICLES/News-Article-View/Article/1055160/air-force-refuelers-enable-b-2-strike-against-daesh-in-libya/ Let me know what you think. Any feedback would be appreciated. I used normal brushes, a lot of masking tape, Decal Set(Blue), Humbrol filler and Humbrol enamel paints(85/191, 123, 125, 164, 156) I also have photos of different stages of the build if anyone is interested. Also thanks for the tips people gave me on here. If you can't see the photos on here then try this link: http://s1076.photobucket.com/user/EthanG12345/library/?sort=3&page=1
  9. Engine Exhaust Metal?

Thanks, I think I'll give that a try. Will Humbrol enamel paints be alright? Does it have to be matt black, satin or anything else? I'll try with whatever I have.
  10. Help and Advice - Modelcollect 1:72 B-2 Spirit

Build is going very well! Completed the construction and 99% went really well, apart from bomb bay doors, gear doors and cockpit fitting which all needed quite a bit of adjustment but got there in the end! Now onto painting... I've got the right shades of grey down very well so at least I know which colours to use, now masking...
  11. Best Model Filler?

Thanks, I've decided to go for Humbrol Filler. I did exactly that, dry fitted all the parts before gluing and 99% of the kit went together perfectly but the bomb bay doors were a bit of a struggle, as I think they expected most people to build the B-2 with gear down (I don't know why, it looks so much better gear up!!!) so I was having to chisel the doors until they were flush and even then they still didn't go in very well. But I got there in the end and it looks great, there's just a few gaps where I chiseled a bit too much.( The doors had no ledges or any kind of support to be glued on to. From the reviews I've read Humbrol filler seems to be good, and it's quite popular. I'll try to use as little as possible to reduce the amount of sanding and touching up I'll need to do afterwards. Onto painting this beast now... Thanks
  12. Best Model Filler?

Hi there, I've never used Model filler so I was wondering what you would recommend? I was thinking either Humbrol Filler, Revell Plasto or Tamiya. Are there any others? Let me know Thanks for your help
  13. Engine Exhaust Metal?

Thanks, sounds interesting. What would you guys say is the best method to use to get the closest finish to the engine metal in the link I shared? https://modelingmadness.com/review/mod/us/usaf/mlpb2.htm
  14. Engine Exhaust Metal?

Thanks everyone! I'll have a look.
  15. Engine Exhaust Metal?

Hi there, How would I go about achieving a finish like the engine exhausts on this B-2: https://modelingmadness.com/review/mod/us/usaf/mlpb2.htm or something close to the real life photos? I use normal brushes and I came across Alclad which looked perfect but you need an airbrush... :\ Is there an alternative to Alclad I could use to get the same finish? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
