hi, thankyou for your replies and for the advise. i was on that way of thinking. after seeing the price for each paint it did come to me that i should just buy what i need for my model and then hopefully latter on the paint will be able to cross over from project to project. i like the idea of changing my technique for each of my kits, seems to me it would be the best way to try everything but not get over overwhelmed. my friend ahs kindly lent me a compressor and a air brush to try out when ready. but i think i will do a little research into that area first. kirk

hi, im very new to modeling i did dabble a bit when i was younger but didn't really know what i was doing and sort of gave up. but a friend at work is right into his modeling and after a bit of coaching and a few model fairs i've started up again and i'm really enjoying myself. my friend suggested i should sign up to a forum to get some extra tips and to show off my models. so here i am. i haven't actually finished one yet, and i don't really have a certain area that i am interested in. i just see something that i like and start building. i have two on the go atm, one is a revell mk1 golf, and the second in a revell ferrari f40 that i managed to pick up second hand at my last model fair. the f40 i'm actually building for my old man for christmas ( favorite car). so that's about it for me and my modeling history cant wait to get stuck in and see everyone's models kirk
