In the video in the Rumourmonger Nuremburg 2023 thread, about 29m30s in, the A330 can be seen. The engines appear to be PWs unfortunately. If it's due out in March, I would have expected Trents to have been tooled by now if that's what was going to be included. Maybe they'll surprise us.

Yes, they do ship to the UK. I have some other colour, including the unique Saratov yellow. I've not used any yet but they look good in the bottle.

And I'm keen to know what you choose, I've got a number (okay, lots...😁) of the pre-bright-white ones to paint!

It's definitely not a case of the older white yellowing, it was an off-white. BA moved to a brilliant white in 2013. They introduced the crest alongside the fuselage British Airways titles at the same time. The crest was also applied to a few of the fleet which at the time still bore the older, creamier, paint. It was referenced in this thread on Airliners.net.

I'll follow along as I have fond memories of flying on BA's B767s to and from Montreal. The front ends of the RR engine pylons look better with reshaping a little to a flatter profile. Which paint are you planning to use to replicate the creamier (dirty) white they had on these at the time?

Curious. I called onestopaerosols. They stopped doing Pantone 266 as they couldn't get the colour right. Seems they had the same problem as the other company, it was coming out too red. I also called carpaintwarehouse. They don't list anything but do do them, no guarantee of a match though! I think I might play around with some FedEx purples.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll call onestopaerosols on Monday, their displayed numbers skip 266 but I expect they could do it. I'll try their RAL9016 too which has been recommended for the A350's wings.

Can anyone recommend a colour match for the purple livery? Or a company that produces accurate spray paint matches? I ordered some Pantone 266 from spraytechnologiesaerosols.co.uk and it's rubbish. The first one they sent me was a light shade of lilac and the replacement is very much redder than it should be. I specified a full gloss finish (they call it a 90% gloss level) and it has barely a sheen to it. I ordered some BSC 381C paints from them too and they are equally wrong in colour and gloss level. I have this (broken) with one of the five I got from Russia. The broken-off piece is in the plastic bag. I think it might be due to being caught on a part of the adjacent sprue in the bag.

Fwiw I went to pick up some Fiat Capri Blue today and noticed that the Appliance White was back (if it ever was discontinued last year).

^ Does it have the hybrid GE/PW engines as well? Someone on another forum is asking. Mine's delayed to tomorrow now.

I do the same as Ray (gentleman parts 😁). I use 15 minute epoxy. I sometimes have to fill a little on the outside and I use Bondo Glazing & Spot putty.

It's a shame that they put the wifi antenna housing on back to front (seems a bit tall, too). It looks like it was just placed on for the photos as it's in different positions in different photos. If it's close to be being released, I'm surprised we've not seen any sprue shots yet.

Hi Tim, Yes "naff" was the word I actually used when I heard the sound. A poorly-selected and garbled mish-mash of "typical" sounds. I too would have left the speaker out. Mine was also going to be BA, I've been on a few to Singapore. I've got a few of the regular kits in the stash and I'll use one of these instead for my BA fleet. Cheers, Roy

Does anyone have any experience with this lights/sound kit (I'm very familiar with the base kit)? Any problems in fitting the wiring and components? I always thought it was too expensive and a gimmick but just relented and picked one up on Amazon for a steal (£38). Edit: Never mind, it arrived today and is being returned for a refund (it was the last one at the price). The on/off switch on the power supply was faulty. It was loose and wouldn't stay in the "on" position, it had to be held there.

Neil, I have a set of KLM decals from Revell's A310 kit #04226 (reg PH-AGC). This is the version with the dark blue KLM tail titles with the light blue crown. Any use? Roy

FWIW (applies to other EE kits too). I've been corresponding with EE while buying some kits, and I asked them if they would consider including grey plastic alternatives for the clear parts in their kits (especially the cockpit areas - like we see in test shots) as a lot of us would find it easier to blend in to the surrounding plastic. They said that they would consider trialing it on a limited basis, probably selling them separately, to gauge the level of interest. I have no idea if they will actually do so, which ones they will include in the trial, or how they would sell them. If you are interested, I suggest contacting them and letting them know which kits you'd like to see included. For me, it's the Tristar, MD-11, DC-10, Viscount, Trident, BAC 1-11, A300, A310 and A220.

I imagine it's BAC7070 (it's not an FS #). Available as Xtracolor X164.
