Hello all
I'll blame my nephew, or maybe his mother for getting him started. His Warhammer handiwork triggered a thought: That could be a good past time for me that has little risk of injury, poverty or therapy. I managed to stay out of Games Workshop but couldn't avoid Amazon. Damn you Amazon and your "buy it now -- next day delivery" consumerism simplicity. Its a shame I can't find a breathalyser attachment for my PC.
Yeah, so I guess I'm potentially wrong about the poverty bit.
I'm taking a crack at an Airfix Typhoon 1/72. I remember making one in the 1980s which was a bit of a disaster as I didn't drill the holes for the rockets. De ja vu kicked in quite nicely when I did the same thing last week. Apparently I have a reading age of 11 despite looking and actually being 44. I had a lurk in the "Work in progress" forum and then quietly backed towards the door. There is an impressive level of expertise kicking around there so I have to ask where would I find a "safe place" post any novice images and questions?
Hmm, maybe wrong about needing therapy also. However, so far I'm yet to stab my finger with a knife but I guess thats also "in the post" so an injury free modelling endeavour is also highly unlikely.
