Brilliant, thanks Troy

Having nearly completed my Airfix Gruman Wildcat, I decided to drag the Martlet out of the stash, when comparing thd instructions I noticed the Wildcat suggest U.S. gull gray for the insides of the engine bay and undercarriage legs ( makes sense). But in the Martlet they suggest RAF sky to match the undersides. My question is why would they change the interior colour on the production line fir British supplies ? Would they not just change exterior colours ? Many thanks in advance Phil

This why I'm asking if anyone can confirm it for this particular airframe

Airfix makes no mention in the painting scheme or on the box art, on a Facebook group I asked the same question and came up with 2 saying yes and 2 saying no

Sorry for digging an old thread up, but did you confirm that this aircraft had the yellow leading edges ? I'm building the same aircraft and have been given mixed information. Many thanks Phil

Sorry Mike, due to a relationship breakdown, I haven't done any modelling since that post. Phil

If you mix the paint well and have a good tin 2 or 3 should do the trick. Phil -

Wow, I'm really blown away by everyone's comments. Thanks guys. To answer John's question, I use a new size 2 brush and apply really thin coats working in opposite directions. I mix the paint to within an inch of its life and try not to overload the brush. The paint is basic Humbrol 11. Phil -

Thanks, my modelling space consists of a table in front of the telly. So all my painting is done with a brush. Phil -

Good to see this beauty, was hoping that airfix would bring out a new tool of this to go along with the Blenhiems and Whitleys. Phil
