  1. Wow, really? The Avantador I built, it had spare parts but not missing parts. With the Aventador I could have chosen left or right hand drive. No such option with the Huracan, and I didn't expect there to be parts intentionally left off the sprue. Anyway, the Hornby guy didn't confirm or deny this, he just asked which parts I required and my shipping address. Still no ETA given. I'll keep you guys posted with what actually turns up
  2. Having said all that.....I'll not be buying another Pocher kit. I've got three now. That'll do me. Not investing large amounts of money into headaches. Next kits I'm buying will be the Tamiya 1/12 Ferrari Enzo and Porsche Carerra.
  3. Okay, I have contacted the local supplier here in Australia, and they have said they're contacting THEIR supplier....but they're not very good with communication. However, I contacted Hornby directly. Sent them photos last night and a long email about how dissatisfied I am...they followed up with an email requesting my address, so I can only assume that means they're sending me replacement parts. Hopefully that doesn't take too long. This is good news, because I did really want to build this kit, however I put it all back in the box preparing to send it back.....seems that I might not have to send it back. Will give you guys more updates as they come through. Given the timezone difference, I won't hear from Hornby until tonight, I'll ask for an ETA on the parts....so when I get home from work I can unbox it AGAIN and start to prepare the crappy plastic parts for painting! Yay!
  4. I'm still waiting for them to get back to me with ETA on spares, if any at all. Yeah, it's not as bad as your bent part, but for the money this cost...there should be NO bent parts at all. The more and more I think on this, the more and more I think this will be a collector's item one day So perhaps I should persist and wait for parts.
  5. lo....yes the crooked metal piece. Took a few photos trying to highlight the "crookedness" of it... The lightning cable is also borked, I guess. Tried to save the already falling apart cable by wrapping it with the good ol' "pen spring" thingy!
  6. Not sure what this piece is called....hopefully the photos are enough to give you an idea. It's out of shape, not symmetrical like it should be. The bent piece is quite thin, so I don't want to attempt to realign it as it may get worse, or even break... See what I mean? Now this piece was firmly packed and supported by Styrofoam, it couldn't have been damaged in transit, it was damaged at the place of packaging. Either before packaging or during packaging...
  7. I'll post a picture of the metal part that is bent when I get to work. As for kpnuts....I built the Ducati and the Aventador, zero issues with these models. The Ducati is a work of art. Beautiful. My problems are with the Huracan, and it seems every one elses problems are too!
  8. Oh, also, Dinky...my seats and tyres are actually just fine! They're as I expect them. Perhaps they've got a blind dude working on the assembly line? Blind and or drunk?
  9. Given the recent Pocher news, about them separating from Hornby. I'm not holding my breath for new parts. I'll know in the next 48 hours whether I'll be sending it back or waiting for parts. I really want to build it! But I'm not settling for inferior or missing parts.
  10. I received my Pocher Huracan last week. I'm very disappointed. There are parts missing and some of the die-cast frames are bent out of shape. The box was well sealed and protected, so I can only assume that the metal parts were bent in the factory, or during the boxing process. Given how much these kits cost, I expected nothing short of perfection. What I got was far from perfect. I've contacted my supplier today about replacement parts, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm preparing to send it back. Extremely disappointed. If I do indeed send it back, I'll buy instead the two Tamiya 1/12 kits; Ferrari Enzo and Porsche Carerra. And still have several hundred bucks left over as compared to what the Pocher kit cost me! Having said that, I've built Pocher's Ducati and Lamborghini Aventador, neither of which presented the same problems as the Huracan. I have read about 2 other people with similar Huracan issues. What the hell is going on with your quality control, Pocher??
  11. I have found one metal part which is slightly bent. Which will cause serious fitting issues. It's quite thin, so I don't particularly want to try and bend it back into shape. I have also got several parts missing from sprue "L" L - 08, 09, 10 & 11 are completely missing. I've checked all the plastic bags, right throughout the box, incase they'd dislodged and came loose. But nope, they're completely missing. This is actually very bad, considering this kit cost me almost AU$1000. I really don't want to send it back, but I have emailed Pocher/Hornby to see if they can replace the parts. If they can't or won't, then I am sending this back. For the money I paid for this Pocher Huracan kit, I can buy the below two kits and then still have plenty of change! Which I will be doing if the parts don't get replaced. I had high hopes for this, and was really hoping your issues were isolated, Dinky...but it seems there is zero quality control at Pocher. Which is astonishing, given how much htye charge for their kits! http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/23206porsche/ http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/12047enzo_ferrari/index.htm If I return the Huracan and purchase the above ones, I'll save several hundred dollars and still have two amazing kits. Tamiya quality is pretty good!
  12. It has arrived. I got the red one. It was the only one I could find anywhere for sale. I did actually want the yellow one. As my Ducati is red, my Aventador is white...so yellow would have been nice. Found it on eBay....got a 10% discount and it ended up being cheaper than if I'd have purchased it direct from Pocher. And it was located in Australia, so delivery was quick. I've briefly opened the box just to make sure there was no major damage during delivery, so far so good. I haven't inspected each sprue though, I will do once work slows down a little bit. Will be sure to keep you updated throughout. This is now the third one I have, can't wait until it is built. I really do HATE the grey plastic parts though, the colour is not even. So I will definitely be painting this one. So it will take longer to build than the other two. I'm wondering whether I need to sand the plastic parts first, then prime and then paint. Or, just prime and paint? I'm fairly new to this painting stuff....so forgive my newb questions
  13. Will do, I am expecting it towards the end of this week. Next Monday at the latest. I will absolutely be checking every single piece and posting many pictures and comments in here.
  14. Wow...what a terrible read. Not you, Dinky, but your experience with this kit. I await with bated breath, as my Huracan is on its way to my house. I really hope mine is not as damaged as yours is. I'm located in Australia, I've paid nearly AU$1000 for this kit. For there to be anything at all wrong with it is simply unacceptable for a kit in this price range. It should be here some time next week, so I will report here on my findings. I have built the Ducati before and also the Aventador, to be honest they were okay. No major issues with them. Apart from the plastic colour being very ordinary. I simply built those two as is. This on e, however, I'm going to build as close to perfection as possible. I'll repaint the plastic parts. While I'm on the topic of painting, can anyone who has built and painted certain parts before recommend particular colours for me? So I can purchase them before the kit arrives. I don't imagine there are too many colours, maybe black and grey? But which particular grey, that's the question I have Anyway....I'll keep you all posted. If mine comes with any of the issues yours had, I will be extremely disappointed and ready for a heated discussion with who ever I can contact from Pocher/Hornby. Thousand bucks for a kit? Wow, it better be damn good!!
  15. Thanks, Dazza...I'll check that out for sure.
