  1. Actually slate is NOT a very good idea... That's cool looking but it poses many technical problems... glueing problems and I discovered that the layers of slate react to moisture and tend to separate from each other... I pray for this reaction to stop for now, Plastiroc is dry and hard... Nevertheless, I continued painting and weathering the dio. the ground received a brown paint and a black acrylic lavish and the rocks are painted ! The model is ready for painting but I did not receive the 2 colours I'll use (a brass layer above a gun metal base)
  2. The base is 95% done. I used real rocks, hard foam, sand, glue and plastiroc to make it. The major problem with slate is that it's very smooth and standard glues like cyano, vynil or epoxy don't work. So I had to use a special glue (used for roofs) and sand to create an irregular surface on whom Plastiroc could stay attached... Now I just have to wait for Plastiroc to get dry !
  3. Today I start a new dio based on Hayao Miyazaki's Flaptter seen in "The castle in the sky" I'll use this Bandai kit that as usual looks very detailled and easy to assemble ! then a quick kit review with the vehicle, the 2 characters (I won't use them) and of course the 4 transparent wings ! I have no precise idea of what the dio will look like but I'm sure there will be rocks, a lot of grass and I'll use this old slate (I think this is the proper word for this kind of tile) as a base ! Next step soon !
  4. I used AK products, mainly powdered pigments and acrylic paint lavish for the AT-ST. The swamp is made of sand, acrylic paint, real wood and the "river" was made using Woodland Scenics realistic water. But no slimy grime at all
  5. Hi, Here's the last Star Wars dio I made from this Bandai walker. It's called "Lost on Endor", I hope you'll enjoy it !
  6. Thank you for your comments ! I'm sorry but I sold the two other cars, I won't be able to "Kryptonite" them !
  7. I found the "Kryptonite crystal" on the web, and I modified it with Photoshop. Then I printed it on a clear decal sheet as well as the letters. Everything else is painted... with a secret paint from a planet far far away !
  8. Hi, Let me show you my last model I just finished. This is how this '41 plymouth was when I bought it ! And now, just after its transformation into a kryptonite powered drag ! New frame, new paint, new engine ! I hope you'll enjoy this model !
  9. That's it... I'd say a few weeks... After the fall of the Empire, some soldiers decided to escape in the forests and marshes of Endor not to be captured by the rebels... This Walker is one of them ! Thanks for your support !
  10. Let me show you what I'm doing for the weathering of this Walker. Maybe you'll think that it's too much but according to the story I want to tell, it's coherent ! I worked on the head... Endor is really a moist planet ! As you can see, this side is not done yet !
  11. Ah ah... you want to know all my secrets... I plan to do standard grey weathering with a few dents on the upper side of the robot, and I'll add mud, water and some vegetal pieces on the legs... You have any more question?
  12. Here it is ! The walker is painted, assembled and glued to its base ! Next step... weathering on the AT-ST before the artificial water !
