  1. What you see is the left half of the whole windscreen. For a reason, the fuselage is displayed in merged left + right parts but the windshield only in half.
  2. They seem happy to have solved the wing dihedral problem... but the nose ??? The radome still seem too much streamlined with the nose section, there does not appear to be some sort of break between the radome and nose.
  3. Wow, the recessed details look generic and basic, and the cockpit side consoles are really poor. The Dauntless and Fw 190 share the same philosophy, big underdetailed yet expensive kits.
  4. If the rivets are like on the same brand's Spitfires, I will be very happy.
  5. In the 1st release, they did not depict the Whitcomb area rule, sort of aerodynamic pinch, in the middle of the fuselage, something that Kinetic did a bit better on their kit.
  6. I just noticed the 1 part integral rear landing gear/wheel plus same 1 part horizontal stab/elevator, no way Tamiya would choose this for a 1:32 kit.
  7. These sprues and overall level detail look way too simple for 1:32 scale, I am certain we are talking 1:48.
  8. One area where this Tamiya kit will beat Eduard's is the clear part department : all of the 1:48 109 kits I bought from them had torn-off windshield and canopy parts (meaning dented edges), as if it was intentional, or Eduard's packaging staff are really desperately clumsy. I once checked in a storeroom a few 109 boxes, 4 or 5, only 1 box featured perfect clear parts. In that area, Tamiya shines and I look forward to such kit, their latest 1:48 kit (Hien) was truly magnificent. Non stop Tamiya as far as I am concerned.
  9. Sad it shrunk from 1/32 to 1/48, going to be tiny... It reminds me of Kitty Hawk's Bell UH-1D, supposed to be tooled in 1/35, then no news for months and all of suddent it was ok for an imminent release in... 1/48.
  10. Great subject !!! The brass landing gears look exquisitely cast, unlike SAC's generally rubbish job. € 170 does not seem too exaggerated for what looks like such a quality resin kit. Will of course wait for more detailed photos but I am already tempted.
  11. Happy about the Luckymodel offer, I assume the Russian or Ukrainian prices will be in the same area. Cannot wait to place my order.
  12. Hi guys, I was wondering if AMK actually commented on that pre-order thing results ? I heard they did not meet the expected order numbers (5'000 ?) to allow for a late 2017 release but do not quote me on this. They want to attract sales but do they actually communicate at some point ? Their last Facebook message dates back to 9th August but nothing related to the Tomcat. Their change in communication strategy is disturbing to say the least.
  13. I had the choice between AMK's überdetailed F-14D Tomcat at a friendly price or this Galaxy at GBP80, I chose the safe way, a desert boulevard to go pick my C-5s . Anyway, I will of course start with one, if I feel it is a ripoff, then "мої вибачення" Roden. I am still not over-enthusiastic about the 1 part intake molded with the N1 fan but I am starting to appreciate the nacelle separate rear section : it is the reverse, cut along the very panel line. I may be possible to busy the area with grilles and actuators and pause the reverser sleeve back but then, the idea of opening the intake clamshell doors, yuk...
  14. I had the same feeling with the C-141 Starlifter kits, nice and accurate shapes but blocked cockpit/simplistic engines and landing gears ?
