  1. My usual sequence is: to complete a lower-wing/fuselage sub-assembly (painted, decaled & weathered), rigging material (almost always, EZ-Line), struts & carbanes attached, then the painted, decaled & weathered upper-wing. Finally, I build & rig the UC (s a sub-assembly) before attaching it. The UC dries in-place with the wingtips leveled. George, out................
  2. I have four (and have said that 4 is a considerable number). I bought them when Wingnuts first released models. I've got them as my rigging opus. I've been practicing my rigging technique on models that were either cheap (eg, SMER Tigermoth) or small (eg Revell DH2 & SE.5a). I use EZ-Line as my Rigging medium. George, out.............
  3. Many thanks, Dane & Finn. Your photos give me the detail I sought, AND tells me that the bump in the belly of the Airfix Battle is incorrect. George, out..............
  4. So I'm building the olde Airfix 72-scale Fairey Battle (with a Mark Peacock resin nose). But there is absolutely no indication as to where the bomb-aimer's window should be. Is it where the bulge in the belly is? Was there a sliding panel on the inside (that was slid away? by the bomb-aimer?) to allow him to use the bomb-sight? Internet and research is singularly uninformative in this field. TIA. George, out...............
  5. Many thanks, Kevin & Paul. It probably IS an Airframe vacform kit. I can't see too many kits of this aircraft being produced by other manufacturers. The photos of the built model, and the internet diagrams I've got, will probably get me over the line (IF I can get some modelling time). Wish me luck. George, out..............................
  6. G'Day all. I've just joined Britmodeller. I started vacform kit - a 72-scale Blackburn Airedale - some years ago. It has few parts, so I gotta come-up with the rest. But in the intervening years, I've lost the instructions. I don't even recall the brand of the kit. Can anyone assist me? I've gleaned some info from the Internet. Many thanks (in advance). George, out..................
