  1. Slowly plodding along, she's mainly together now, got the dreaded describe to do which is always a bug for me especially with Eduard kits. I've contemplated this for a while, which is while we might get the extra details like rivets which are nice and very satisfying once emphasised with a wash . The replacing of them after the necessary sanding can be a pain. Enough musings model time. Thanks for looking! Any comments suggestions welcome Joss
  2. Looking very nice! You're doing a cracking job! Look forward to seeing more! Joss
  3. Haha, I'll have to change my scheme now!
  4. @JackG That would certainly make life alot easier!
  5. Thanks Glynn! Would recommend it's a lovely kit! Looking forward to when they release a filleted D version as a profipack.
  6. Hi jack, thanks for the info. I have to admit I just looked at the box and thought mki spit that'll do. Interesting read on the topic. I have an Eduard spitfire mkix which come with the photoetch armour and the plastic part so I hope that'll fix the problem. All the best Joss
  7. Got the new tamiya spitfire for Christmas so excited for this group build! Would anyone recommend any upgrades for it or is it good to roll out of the box? All the best Joss
  8. Thanks Simon, not sure whether to weather her up much inside or not. I'd recommend very enjoyable build so far,!
  9. Hi guys, Time for an update. I've decided to go for the marking master mike, as I like the colours and I'm not that keen on do nmf at the moment. On with construction, the cockpit is well on its way with some detailed painting required and photoetch to be added. I have also constructed the wing assembly so once she's buttoned up so should fly together. Any comments or suggestion welcone! Thanks for looking Joss
  10. She's looking very nice Hewy! Looking forward to seeing more of her. All the best Joss
  11. Hi Julien apologises, I only have access via a smart phone and it does not allow me to delete photos from a post! All the best Joss
  12. Looks great Dansk. Looks like it's sorted the problem. A little progress on mine but havent had time to document. Seem to have even less time to model when im not working! Looking forward to seeing more progress! All the best Joss
  13. Cheers Black Knight. I'll see what goes with the undercarriage colour! All the best Joss
  14. Hi guys, I've had a nosey around but can't find the answer I'm looking for so just going to ask. With regards to wheel bay colour and the colour on the inside of landing gear doors and such. What colour would they have been on painted examples of P-51Ds? The ones that are in OD and NG. Would they have been NG or Silver? Many thanks Joss
  15. I agree I think that would probably be the best option to be honest. Worse to come to worse I'd just stick a block of plastic up there and glue to that. Not many people will look at the wheel wells!
  16. Hi dansk. I had a nosey and was wonder what you are suggesting in the last photo is the same as the further back placed one? If so that would be an excellent solution! Cheers Joss
  17. I thinking hiding the fix up top should solve the problem but I'm not sure I guess we will have to do it before we close up the fuselage? I'm going do abit today so will get back to you
  18. Hi Dansk, You steaming along nicely! I'm gunna through a spanner in the works sorry. The royal class comes with a filleted and non filleted fuselage, which if I'm not mistaken means you've got two filleted and non filleted kits between your collect. It would appear the three colour schemes all have the fuselage fillet. All is looking good and look forward to see more progress! All the best Joss
  19. Yeah interesting! not sure if it's a picture from a modeller or from Eduard. If it's a modeller then fair enough! To be fair I've made more than my fair of mistakes so I can't say anything! But if it's from Eduard would have thought they would have double checked before uploading!
  20. I haven't actually put up any pictures of the kit yet so here we go. I'm well under way with construction as this kit seems to fall together. Whether it's tamiya's shake and back I'm not sure but it really is good. Im at a roadblock until Xmas, as although I have the colours. I want to try out the ak real colours I'll be getting so not long, then I'll upload some photos. Joss
  21. pointlessly repeated photos removed
  22. Thanks gingerbob! I have to admit I resisted at first but gave in and bought it in the end. Going on that theory, if I was to cut the oleos out this should fix the problem? My only concern then is this will weaken the undercarriage. But depending how the legs are attached to the covers(?) it might be strong enough. Cheers Joss Hi Patrice, Thank you very much! This is my first group build in a long time so I'm excited to get something on the road and hopefully completed! Cheers Joss
  23. Hi guys, Going to enter with the Eduard Chattango Choo Choo model. It seems a nice kit, but I have noticed the landing gear seems off. So any advice there will be appreciated! Pictures will follow very shortly, I've managed to break my phone's camera so have to use the DSLR and transfer it all over. Anyway, the main attraction which is the markings. In the kit there are six markings, five of them nmf and then one OD and NG. I'm leaning towards the OD and NG but I also like the miss Steve marking! Choices choices! Waffling over and let's crack on! Thanks for looking Any comments, suggestions or criticisms are welcome! Joss
  24. I'll be watching with interested! Got the Choo Choo kit in the stash myself. Cheers Joss
