      Just my point of view

  2. Although this kit by copper state models in 1:35 has rightly received overall excellent reviews, I think some reviewers have rose-tinted spectacles on!, Although presentation & quality is 1st class some errors have been made:- 1)External colour guides are not keyed to any manufacturers paint ranges 2)no mention is made of the colours that the chassis and some other parts are to be painted 3)no clear plastic is provided for the headlights 4)The turret top hatch is moulded closed(so no crew members then?) no PE is supplied BUT CSM are to release 1 set for the spoked wheels & 1 for other details. close but no cigar! cheers TONY
  3. Great build! of a great kit, I hope that somebody brings out an upgrade to replace the missing bits(drivers compartment, gearbox, transmission) as it seems a shame to go so far with the supplied details and not include the rest!-or failing that perhaps someone can supply photos or drawings so the more adventurous amongst us can scratch build it!. BYE
  4. HI, Not sure if is still available, BUT veteranus model kits had it for £54 INC POSTAGE! - a few days ago!, obviously at that price I could not resist!,I hope the MENG resin 'sagged' wheel set fits as I got them as well!. bye for now TONE
  5. HI, I don't know if anybody else has noticed this in the current POCKETBOND catalogue (page 63):- 1:35 63593 G-5 SOVIET MTB, I hope it does appear as the catalogue number is listed before the X-5 - 63504. CHEERS TONE
  6. I have ordered the 25mm r/hand m4, so I will see how that looks when offered up to the kit! (anything has to be better than the feeble one supplied with the kit!) will report back ASAP. cheers TONY
  7. HI, I have this kit and I am a bit puzzled by the 'GREEN' P/E fret, I thought at first it was a protective cover but it does not seem removable?, it appears to be painted on as a quick scrape with a scalpel reveals the brass underneath ! Bad enough having to remove the item from the fret and then bend it, you now have to scrape the paint off before you can glue it !!. I just hope this is a mistake.
  8. Good work, I am building the same kit myself, As a newbie here what does RFI mean?, cheers TONE
  9. NICE work!, it is the first italeri kit of this submarine that I have seen completed!.
  10. HI, If anybody knows what propeller should be fitted to the merit kit can they pass it on to those of us who are eagerly awaiting the result of the research going on . cheers TONE
