  1. Hi Neil,

I just wanted to apologise, I got your cheque yesterday after I got back home from hospital. Too late to bank  it. I am sorry this condition is slowing me down more than I would like. I will bank on Monday all being well.

I am really sorry for the delay.

I am starting to wonder if I will manage to get shot of my stash before my number is up.

    Thanks and regards

    Nigel

  2. Hi, I was wondering if you are still interested in the proctor as I have not heard from you for a while, as it has been Christmas I thought I would just ask. Thanks and regards

It's been a busy Christmas...not much time for a rest now before it all starts again for another year!

  3. Wow! It just has to be done, good job the sorting out in the loft has gone so well. Maybe next we will get our mainstream kit of the R1 Sentinel ! Nigel
  4. Almost every new aircraft suffers the A400 from teething problems of some sort. Note the aircraft listed above. The more the design is compromised by several requirements the more difficult it is. Like most it will get sorted and probably make a fine strategic aircraft. However It is unlikely to be happy in a tactical role given its size. Nigel
  5. That will be so popular with those who joined the RAF ISO the FAA! ( not)
  6. I have just got to get one. It is so different. Nigel
  7. If you look at how many Grobs we have now, something will need cutting there. Same goes for the Hawk T2's. I guess there is a lot more sim's around. Nigel
  8. With recent order of aircraft for the RAF / FAA it look hard to see how this will allow for all the 'front seats' to be filled Nigel
  9. An interesting article. Yet another of those great Briish products of the 50's and 60's that did not make it buy maybe it should have. Makes you wonder what would happen if built with modern materials today. The comment about the hekicopter service between Gatwick and Heathrow being finished because the land jourmey is quicker by M25 gave me cause for a chuckle! Nigel
  10. That is just some of the best modelling I have seen, excellent. Nigel
  11. I always find it funny when the folks who are not know about aircraft ask why helo's do not have ejection seats ( i know there are a very few exceptions) Nigel
  12. From various articles I have read the Saudi's are after up to 200 aircraft. (another 130) I am not sure but the RAF and Luftwaffe have not ordered their full quota yet or have they been cancelled? Nigel
  13. Unless we are all (as human kind) very lucky it looks as if many combinations of aircraft and weapons will get a try out in the current sad situation in the Middle East. That may end up taking a lot of discussion and establishing the fact. I see the current upset as having many parallels with the Spanish Civil War. Somehow I see debate such as here preferable, ( but please be respectful to each other) Is it me or do we seem to be getting less public information on the air campaign than the Lybian war? Nigel
  14. I hope at least one is saved. I have many happy memories of using them over their years of service. Did they go out of service because of cost of operation? If they could not compete with the Channel Tunnel would they have not been useful somewhere else? Nigel
  15. What a great model, I saw the real aircraft at Culdrose many years ago and that is an excellent replica. Nigel
  16. Shades of how the Nimrod project was scuppered? Nigel
  17. I remember leading a convoy of 4 tonners on exercise in the late 1970's when the A10's were almost brand new. They flew so low and meaicingly even though it was just an exercise they frightened the polar bear droppings out of me. I think they have done the same to to our enemies many times since. If it works why change it? Nigel
  18. No offence to the new team but I think we are the poorer for the passing of service SAR. Thanks ladys and guys for all you have done and all you were willing to do the save and protect us. Nigel
  19. Very sad, I hope there are survivers. This has shades of that terrible accident with the RN seakings in 2003 Nigel.
  20. A much loved aircraft with many years saving lives to its credit. It is a national icon and deserves to be treated as such. How many of us have sat on the beach in safety knowing it would be there for us? Many should be given to Museums by the MOD. They cannot be worth that much as scrap, certainly not more than honouring the brave men and women who flew them. Nigel
  21. I think you are exactly correct. As long as extra safety actions ( these must respect the people lost that day) are put in place there is no reason in the real world why displays shou;d not go on. Am I correct in thinking we do not even know the cause of the incident yet? Nigel
  22. Should not have happened in the first place, we are an island nation. Very glad commom sense has taken hold. Nigel
  23. I am just concerned how much my Airfix F35B will cost to do in all those FAA and RAF colour schemes. Nigel
  24. I hope that is correct, it is certainly the best option. Please could I ask, do you have a good source for that information.? Nigel
