  1. After buying and inspecting this kit against pictures and all other kits regarding this type in this scale, I am really happy with what I got. Considering the old KP with its fuselage towards the jet exhaust being 4mm too short or the unlucky Bilek construction of the fuselage I congratulate KP to this. Hope and think there is another PM version soon. The earlier types with the short fin due to the insufficient control system hopefully appears soon.
  2. Oh my. Just from the sprue-pics I see tons of things that dont fit. Just to mention the forward part of the armoured part of canopy. Its rounded! an in real life a straight top. The MG Cowling, the undercarriage and so on. Pity this plastic is wasted on a model with so much potential. By all means the old Airfix 1/24 FW190 A5 would do better. The seat is a nightmare and the ETC rack would do better as a Teutonic sword scabbard...
  3. Really Nice Build. I like it. Have this one in progress as well and can confirm the points stated under build-up.
  4. If I may share my two cents The Dragon Mig-17 is only OK for the wings. They are really fine and it seems the Smer Kit which I had used for scratchbuilding a PF in 1/72 are an enlarged copy of those, true to the engravings of panel lines. I had an Omega Vacu conversion which I had to use the wings off the Dragon Model. Canopy to small inlet to small and other stuff... The KP fuselage needs to be stretched a bit (if I remember correct 2-3 mm) and the vertical fin/tail needs to be corrected to a sharper angle. The elevators are far to big and need to be trimmed down. Radar/radome/ nose needs to be enlarged a bit. Hope that helps If I were you I would only go for AZ-Model
  5. Oh my... its beautiful. Im on my knees Thanks Petr for sharing the info. Thank also to J.Velc !!!
  6. FANTASTIC NEWS !!!! I am utmost happy to see that finally some new & excellent La-5FN will be released by new KP company again. To be honest, I have fond memories of the old KP La-5FN. What I liked most about them was the Box and Box-Art. Excellent, even by todays standard illustrations on the package. I think I am not the only one who liked those J.Velc Pictures.... I would be sooo glad if those new KP Kits would continue with high-quality illustrations/paintings. The only Kits able to compete with those are the Hasegawas Illustrations. Petr, please understand this as positive critics /suggestions. Nothing inspires more than a beautiful box-art. Right? The new BF-109 Box-Arts are nice (colour-schemes on backside are top!) but cant compete with the dynamic pictures once used by former KP. If I understand you correct, KP is also doing a new Si-204D/Aero C-3A?!! Can you use the old Box-Art? If so - Thanks so much since that RV-Resin Kit was a huge disappointment to me. Windows placed evenly spaced (which is completely wrong by 3-4 mm in 1/72) and therefore wrong positioned doors plus oversized door engravings. Canopy still having the spacing copied from old KP-Canopy which is not correct either. If someone wanted to correct this almost the whole fuselage needs to be re-engraved including windows, doors, and resulting from this all panel lines. Then I would rather correct the very few mistakes on the old KP-Kit and use RV-Kit as a part-supplier. Again Petr thanks for making a childhood-dream come true.
