  1. Hello again I started with my 1/32 Swordfish (dutch 860 squadron). As far as I know the fwd machine gun was deleted, so I cut out the machinegun "bulge" in the RH fuselage part Trumpeteer was so nice to include 2 separate fuselages in this kit , so I could smash one up Also I assembled some sub assy's (wings, stabilizer, engine parts and ordnance) I am thinking of modifying the wings with extended slats.... cut out the slats in the wings and replace them with scratchbuild extended slats but I have no detailed pictures or drawings of the cavity behind the slats or the attachment on the wings of the slats . That's going to be a little more tricky, because unfortunatelyTrumpeteer didn't provide a second set of wings in the kit Furthermore I want to install the ASV Yagi antennas on the topwing LE and wingstruts. (also scratchbuild) Accesoires I am also thinking of are: A set of resin sagged wheels (Mastercaster) resin 60 lb rockets (Fisher models) Eduard Big Ed PE set 1/32 Vickers K (GasPatch) 1/32 pilot figure (Sidcot suit) ......(Wings cockpit figures) I read that WW1 sidcot suits were still used in wwII is that true and was it the same ? And can anyone help me with detailed pictures, drawings of the extended Slats of the Swordfish greetz Ronald
  2. thanks for your replies When i wrote down "socalled " it was certainly not my intention to show disrespect of some kind I found some info on this japanse inventor , but could not find a proper picture of this particular antenna on the Swordfish As the mark III has a different kind of antenna it was just to make clear which antenna I was looking for. Very happy with the picture and the reference to the Tamiya instructions ( I didn't know that the Tamiya kit had these antennas ) I am sorry to say that the Barracuda is not my most favorite looking aircraft ......... But the antennas are clearly visible :-) greetz Ronald
  3. Hello again My next question concerning the Swordfish The swordfish II was equiped with the earlier ASW radar system with the socalled Yagi antenna's on the outboard wingstruts. These antenna's are not provided in the kit, nor is there (at least to my knowledge) any aftermarket set so scratching seems to be the only option. My question: Does anyone has a good drawing or photograph of the Yagi antenna on the wing strut of the Swordfish so i can make one myself ? greetz Ronald
  4. Thanks for your reply I was thinking the same Yesterday I bought the "dutch Decal" decalsheet for the 1/32 swordfish II with the decals of the dutch Swordfishes With it came a drawing of the colourscheme whichs shows the porcupine exhaust and no machinegun installed together with your info, I go for this layout. greetz Ronald
  5. Gentlemen My first post on this forum My x-mas present this year was the 1/32 trumpeteer Swordfish II After some research I discovered that the dutch 860 squadron was equiped with the Swordfish during WWII (I come from the Netherlands) I even have found an aftermarket decal set for the 860 squadron. I've found several pictures mostly of the S2 (LS 437) and O3 (LS 298) (both on the decal sheet) Now I've got 2 questions (to start with) first: can someone tell me if the dutch Swordfish II 's (in particular, the two mentioned above) were equiped with the forward firing machine gun (cockpit) ? I've seen pictures of the Swordfish II with and without the fwd firing gun second: same sort of question concerning the exhaust Was it equiped with the short exhaust or the extended (porcupine) exhaust? Hope to get some answers greetz Ronald
