  1. Did you know that one report says that he was kia alongside his faithful Dashshund dog which he had taken along with him on this raid. Just about to look that up. Thanks Tim
  2. Hi Tim, Just about all the reports read that Geisler's aircraft was shot down by the Mosquito, sounds good but wasn't 'true'. I didn't know about the 2007 excerpt. That was obviously when they excavated the aircraft. Sometimes it's good to dig things up! Regards, Don
  3. Hi Dave/anyone, Do you know which airfield in ?France? SKG 10/Geisler would have made these attacks from? Don
  4. Hi Dave, I am still trying to locate the book HOLDING THE WEST, extortionate prices for what it is. The trio of f/landings you gave, lead me to ASISBIZ, where there are profiles and photos of the 3 planes, but obviously none of Geisler's plane. I see what you mean with the temporary coat of paint, but you can just about make out the colour/camo scheme they would have had. Thanks again, Don
  5. Thanks Dave, that is very helpful indeed. I will follow up your leads. Regards, Don
  6. Hi all you guys in the know, Please can you help? I am looking for a skin/profile for Hauptmann Kurt Geisler's FW190A-5/U8 (Gelbe 1) that was shot down on the 6th of September 1943, near Hawstead, Suffolk at 21.45 hrs. I know from some relics I have seen his camouflage scheme would have consisted of the following colours, black, light blue and white. Thanks, Don

  8. Your right Bob, thanks for heads up, much appreciated.
  9. Yeah that will do. Thank you very much for all your help, a pleasure indeed.
  10. Perfect. Would this casing that the AH fits into be approx. 33cm?
  11. Hi Thanks very much for the photo. Is that the one with the round transparent disc on the front and a pipe coming from the bottom left hand corner?
  12. HI John, Yeah, I have not made it very clear. I am wanting to find out where this item was situated ( presumably) in the cockpit area, with the lettering (A delicate instr..) stencilled on a black painted aluminium cylindrical 'case' which was fitted to the aircraft. The size would be approx. 33 x 14 cm. I presume your suggesting that it was situated at the rear where the navigator sat? Do you know what is in the bottom right hand corner of your photo? I have found this stencilling on numerous aircraft instrument boxes, but this is different. Would it have anything to do with the secret radar fitted to these aircraft for the first time? Don P.S. 'B.IV' Thanks for the photo. I am new to this, should have specified (quoted) which member, but really should have ignored it.
