  1. Hey, I'd like to share with you my most recent addition to the shelves: Trumpeter's 1/350 scale USS Independence LCS-2. Apart from the way too soft photo-etch the kit is really good and I enjoyed it. I Hope you like my little ship! Cheers, Tom
  2. Hey, I just finished my Italeri MV-22B Osprey in 1/48 scale. The kit is quite good for its age, but quite simple and there are only raised panel lines. I painted the Osprey using Tamiya, Revell and Gunze Paints and used washes, oil paints and pigments for the weathering. I hope you like it! Nikolas
  3. Absolutely stunning! Any information on how you did the chipping? Cheers!
  4. Hello everyone, I'd like to present to you one of my smallest models, Revell's new F4U-1A Corsair tooling in 1:72 scale. The build was straightforward although I did have to use some putty, but that partly may have been my fault due to not glueing properly. I chose to use the kit's markings depicted on the box. This was the first time I tried to chip some areas - didn't really work, but better to fail at trying rather than never trying at all. I also got the antenna wrong. Revell provided me with the kit and I'd like to thank them for doing so. Hope you enjoy the pictures! Thanks for looking!
  5. Hey, I'd like to show you my F-14D Super Tomcat in 1/72 scale. The kit is by Revell and overall pretty good. When I built this model in 2012 I wasn't that concerned about cleaning flash, filling or sanding - and thats very visible in some areas. I still hope you like it! Cheers, Tom
  6. Wow, thats a great build, I love it! Probably the best built and weathered Tornado I've seen so far. I can only hope mine will be half as good as yours! Cheers, Tom
  7. Hey, Thankyou very much for the positive feedback, I'm glad you like my model @ Stephen: It's the kit canopy, the only aftermarket I added was Eduard's photo-etched cockpit set and masking set. Cheers!
  8. Hi everyone, I'd like to present my ES-3A Shadow by Italeri. I just finished the model yesterday after a 10-month build. The S-3 Viking kit itself is ok, whereas the Shadow specific parts are absolutely horrible and don't fit at all. Im quite pleased with the result, of course some minor bits bug me, but in general I'm happy. I hope you like the model! That's it! Cheers
  9. Hello everyone, This is a build I finished about a year ago or so and it was my first ship. I really enjoyed the kit apart from adding the railing which was not that easy. I still have two more modern US Navy ship kits lying around here so this probably wont be my last trip to maritime modelling. I hope you like it! Cheers, Tom
  10. Hi everyone, I would like to present to you one of my recently finished models, Tamiya's 1/48 scale A-1H Skyraider. The kit is excellent and a real pleasure to build. To add a little more extra detail and to get some experience in handling with resin parts, I chose to upgrade my model with weighted tires and the cockpit closing mechanism - the brown bulge under the canopy. I hope you like it! Cheers, Tom
  11. Hey everyone, Here another older build of mine, Revells 1/72 F/A-18E Super Hornet. The kit is really great - apart from the cockpit. Other than that I had lots of fun building the kit. Hope you like it! Cheers, Tom
  12. Hello everyone, Finally my first real post here. May I present to you: My 1/48 Revell Eurofighter Typhoon. The build is quite old actually, over 2 years now, but it's one of the very few older models I can still look at today without wanting to hide it somewhere. The kit is really good, especially considering the low price, and only has some minor fitting issues. Being a German I of course wanted to use the Bundeswehr markings supplied in the kit along with 6 other available options. I hope you like it! Cheers, Tom
