  1. Good evening everyone I've currently got on the bench the excellent Hasegawa F-4G Wild weasel and im at the stage of weathering the cockpit. Wishing to advance my weathering skills, I recently purchased the Ammo of Mig Jimenez US Modern Cockpits Set however im at a loss as to how I would go about applying the AMIG-1007 US Modern Vehicles wash and the AMIG-1613 PLW Blue Grey. Various adverts for the set, state that I should read the ammo of Mig Jimenez encyclopaedia of aircraft vol 1. however having done so, im still non the wiser as its not clear as to how I should use either product. can anyone help and advise me what technique worked for them? many thanks in advance Graham.
  2. Good afternoon everyone, I'm currently putting the finishing touches to a Tamiya 1/48th scale Lancaster and would like to know how to recreate the White exhaust staining on the upper wings? How do I recreate the white exhaust stains on a Lancaster bomber? Ie colour, bespoke aftermarket product? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Many thanks Graham

  5. Good evening everyone Your advice is requested I'm nearing completing my 1/48th scale academy Hispano Suiza HA112 Buchon in Battle of Britain film colours and have looked on the Eduard website for a suitable bespoke canopy mask, there doesn't appear to be one made by Eduard. Can anyone advise me if, having built the Academy Buchon, there is any alternative canopy masking set that would fit the Academy Canopy? I know that there are several Canopy masks available for different manufacturers of early Bf 109s but was wandering which one is the nearest fit. I will be using the Battle of Britain early style canopy. Your help and advice is greatly appreciated. Many thanks Graham
  6. many thanks Troy for the heads up Ive emailed the hobby company regarding a replacement part. Ill also keep an eye on Hannants thanks once again Troy Graham
  7. Hello everyone Ive just made a spectacular mess up of my 1/48th scale Tamiya ME262s canopy. despite trying to retrieve it, my efforts have been in vain! can anyone tell me how I would go about obtaining spares? is there a spares department? your help and advice would be much appreciated Graham
  8. Great job Willy youve perfectly captured the Lanc Im hoping to undertake a similiar project and build a Lancaster III to give to my dad, whos father was killed flying a 7 Sqn PFF Lancaster over Frankfurt in 1943. where did you buy the Squadron letters from? kind regards Graham
  9. Many thanks to all those who gave me invaluable advice on how to rig my BF109 with ezy line. little did i realise when I posted the original question that my topic would be so spectacuarly hijacked re the BF/ME debate!!!! As far as I was concerned, it was always BF109! thanks guys for your help. Graham
  10. Good evening everyone I'm currently building the Eduard BF109 G6 and as I near its completion, my thoughts are turning towards how to rig it with the antennae wire. I have bought some ez line (fine) in preparation but am at a loss on how to actually apply it. Can anyone please send me some advice on how to apply it including the wire that runs from the rear fuselage up to the antennae that runs from the post above the cockpit to the tail plane. Your help and advice will be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance Graham
  11. hey guys I posed the question of the new Royal Class 109G having the corrected Wings etc to Libor Havránek from Eduard on their Royal Class BF109G Blog post and received the following response Hello Graham, We still haven’t decided yet how/when/if we are going to release corrected parts for this kit, so they’ll not be included within the Royal Class kit. whilst Libors response confirms that the RC BF109G WONT include any corrections, it gives us a ray of hope that theyre still considering it for future releases?
  12. Hey Giorgio Many thanks for your info re the RLM underside colours. What RLM / vallejo model air colour would you recommend for the yellow engine underside cowling on a Bf109? Kind regards Graham
  13. your help and guidance would be much appreciated on the following topic, Im currently building a BF109G-10 and a ME262 A-2 both instructions suggest that I paint the undersides RLM Hellblau (light blue) and yet there are several different versions of Hellblau available. I use VAllejo model air and theres two versions available, 101 or 81? which is the correct one to use? thanks guys in advance for your help Graham
  14. A BIG thanks to Space Ranger and everyone else that replied to my original request, your advice is much appreciated.
  15. hey guys After reading countless Work in progress posts and build reviews, ive come to the conclusion that I need to put behind me past nightmares using Humbrol filler and step back up to the plate... so It would appear that Mr surfacer is the way ahead but when I looked into him, he appears to come in several different guises? My reason for wanting to use Mr Surface is to fill in ungainly gaps ie Fuselages, wings etc so my questions are as follows 1, Which one is the best one to use? 2, any tips on using it? 3, Wheres the best place to buy it? I would appreciate any advice, tips etc many thanks guys Graham
