  1. Hope this is the right area. I'm putting together a deck display with a MEPP plugged in to an A-6. I know where the cables go into the A-6, but I have the NC-2A and nowhere in the instructions (Kintetic) does it say I can't seem to find a photo on the internet of that, either. Does anyone know or could post a photo, diagram etc.? Thanks Rob
  2. little hijack: I got a jig from Vertigo. Very good.
  3. Try experimenting with the painting. it might be easier than you think. 1. prime the cowl, etc. with black. 2. fine tipped silver sharpie (or molotow chrome pen) and put your dots/squiggles over the black paint. 3. thin your aluminium paint of choice and lightly spray thin coats over the top until you get the effect you like.
  4. Andy's is closely associated with MBK. The shop and the website got their stuff from MBK, in one shipment each. There were a lot of some and very few of others. plenty( about a dozen) of DFW, late and early, AEG, late and early, Salmson, DH9, both versions, about half a dozen Felixtowes, a few odds and ends of the camel line (not a great quantity of each), a couple of the Camel/LVG duelist. That's about all I remember. I was in the shop when it opened on Wednesday, and picked up what I was interested in. On Saturday, there were still a few left. But that is the shop, not the website. No online sales of stock from the shop.
  5. I'm fortunate enough to live close to Andy's Hobby Headquarters in AZ. Popped in at 10 am today and picked up an AEG late, DFW late and the Camel/LVG duellist. Lots of kits in the store. I noticed Felixtowes, DFWs(both) AEG (both) Ninaks, Salmsons, Camels with a similar amount and selection available from Friday am on the website.
  6. Started my build, and I'm learning from you! Struggling with the wheel bays just now. Did you have to file the side walls down to have the wing halves mate properly? I also followed you and am scratching the first aid bay in the door. Any idea what is in the right hand section? Oxygen mask and tube? I'm doing at 30 squadron aircraft, so I made my own decals for serials, lettering etc, and the 30sqn crest. My dad was an electrician on Valettas in 30 sqn during his national service at RAF Dishforth.
  7. That was what I was told, yes, about a month ago. During the conversation I was told the above, I was also told that MBK bought the remaining stock of kits and would distribute them from their website, and that AndysHobbyHQ would get a load and would be the only US retailer for these, from the shop and from their website. We now know that the latter parts were correct information.
  8. MBK bought out all the available stock, and their share of it was shown in the photo they posted. They are selling this from their site, as we know. The rest of it is coming to the US and to one retailer/webstore only. Andy announced this on his facebook page today. "COMING SOON! Exciting news!!! A HUGE truckload of WINGNUT WINGS is en route to Andy’s Hobby Headquarters & AndysHHQ.COM. Over $50,000 in inventory will be arriving shortly. Unfortunately, we are unable to take preorders or hold product at this time, so please no phone or email inquiries. More information on specific kits and quantities will be available soon, so be on the lookout for further details in the coming days. As always, we appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. Stay tuned!"
  9. I think MBK bought the lot, lock stock and barrel. Not the molds. they are staying where they are for now, apart from the Meng one.
  10. Hi, Take a look at the wikipedia article on the national flag colours. It may give you a clue as to the dyes used at that time, and their shades. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Poland#Shades_of_red
  11. Thanks Mark. The Eduard instructions are not quite right, but I'll play about and see how it looks.
  12. Hi, I have the Eduard 1/48 Tempest Mk. V and HGW's wet transfer decal and stencil set. It has 140(pairs) of these little red lines (to go each side of a fastener, presumably). I can figure out where they go, but apart from my hesitance for loads of stencils anyway, I'm reluctant to plaster them all over my model. I can't seem to find a photo of them on a real aircraft. Can anyone point me to a reference, so that I can at least decide how it would look?
  13. Progress has been made. Thanks to @hopkp and @wekusta I have created the crew entry hatch, which I will pose opened as well as the hatch above the pilot and the dorsal gunner's canopy. I've been raving about the great fit so far, but the engine/wings had me worried from the start. Having to take it slow to bring them all together. One wing was quite easy, but the starboard one is making me work!
