  1. You have done a remarkable job on this kit Jorgen. I bought one of these when they first came out but haven't built up the courage to get it started. When I was a kid our next door neighbour brought a fleet of these to Niagara Falls for tours. My dad helped get the business going by driving tours for him on occasion. He would also make trips to Montreal to drive buses to Niagara Falls when they came off the ships from the UK. I have many fond memories as a kid riding along with my dad in the cab. I would sit on the box to the right of the drivers seat thinking I was an integral part of running the bus. I seem to recall the turn signal know was located on that box. I'm not sure if it was relocated there or if it is just my poor memory.
  2. The Aries cockpit looks really good Chris. On a car modelling forum a guy posted that he has lost an entire finished model. Now that is extreme carpet monster theft.
  3. You're doing a top notch job Dan. Looking forward to seeing more.
  4. Very nice Chris. Sorry to hear the concrete floor monster has taken your gatling gun.
  5. You have done a great job painting the details in the cockpit and seats. Amazing detail for 1/144th. Like others have said, there is no way I could get results like you have Dazz. Looking forward to seeing more.
  6. I have a couple of the Academy kits as well Dave. One of them I am going to build as part of this GB. They do come with a good supply of weapons which the Revell kit doesn't have. I guess one can never have to many of either kit.
  7. Very nice work. The pilots face looks so real. This must be a huge kit.
  8. You are doing a fine job with this kit. Too bad all that nice engine detail is sealed up. I'm looking forward to seeing this one completed.
  9. They have been re-issued recently Filler. You should have no problem getting one at your LHS or online. I have one in storage I bought many years ago but couldn't get to it when I wanted to build it for the GB. I went to Michaels and they had quite a few of them there. As Dave says they really are a nice kit to work with. Rob
  10. Thanks guys I thought the seats sit a little high as well. This is how they fit into the tub so I thought I would see how they look once I have them in the fuselage before adjusting them. I think there are some that are grey and then there are others black. I used this as my reference. I am not an expert by any means so I appreciate all of your comments. Rob
  11. I have finished up the cockpit and started to cleanup the intakes. Boy, my detailing needs a lot of work.
  12. You are moving right along there Dave. I have to agree with you this is a great kit. Your detail painting is nice and clean in the cockpit. Great job! Rob
  13. To model the F-15C from the Oregon ANG I don't think the CFTs are used. My understanding is that US F-15Cs initially carried CFTs when they entered service but no longer carry them. US F-15Es do use them. However, you are right. It would be nice to have them if one wanted to build an Israeli F-15 C/D.
  14. The standard pictures of the unbuilt kit. There is no sign of any flash at all. Academy has also included so photo-etch parts for ths kit. The decal sheet is very nice.
