  1. Spitfire, not unusual given the Biggen Hill Heritage two seaters are always about but looks like its my first 2024 sighting of the Kent Spitfire single seater given that one doesn't show on ADSB, surprised it's up given the weather has been pants this morning and hasn't yet cleared, a welcome sight anyway
  2. Well its arrived, the aml it has the front part of the canopy framing moulded in with the bottom framing moulded to the fuselage so needed a bit cut off the frong kit and as I'm a wally I first cut the dashboard bit of so that's some extra work, and it will need a lot of clear glue but otherwise it fits
  3. Can this not come, I can maintain the delusion that I’m going to convert a E/F back to an A that way
  4. They generally have most of the sprues which generally have gazillion options, but particular variants might have a sprue not in others
  5. Not got round to the decals yet but heres what I hope to enter next, though I cannot tell you what scheme it will be just that it will be USAAF and in probably in NMF
  6. Done a load of sanding and got some grey on, probably needs some further attention before the third grey leading edges can go on
  7. Well I’m a twist of fate hannants were selling a canopy for the aml kit and had one it stock so i figured for a few quid it was worth a punt, of course I had to order a kit to get past the order limit but it was one I’ve being eyeing up from the special offers for a while so not a problem, let’s hope it can fit in the meantime I’ve cracked on with sanding my lightning and should have an update on that tomorrow
  8. Not the river people but had a fun experience today, was waiting for a courier as it was 50/50 it was my dads birthday present or another parcel also coming from the same service, pulled up and spent the best part of 15 minutes rearranging his van then another 5 having a smoke before he finally delivered it to us. Got another knock at the door from our next door neighbour 10 minutes later as he had delivered the other parcel to them….oh dear
  9. Disaster has stuck, the canopy has cracks in it so I think I’ll have to withdraw this one
  10. An excellent point and indeed why I always go them first, and indeed it’s not backfired as it’s now for an upcoming GB. I’m very grateful to have a local shop on this day and age
  11. Ended up with a Hasegawa kfir sort of by accident today, hopefully I can source some decals for one of the South American operators for this
  12. Had expected to be building something else tonight, due to a mistake on my part the kit I left with wasn’t that and turned out to be what the mirage iii became so I decided to just start this instead, ran into a problem as it doesn’t have the right tanks based off the photo but had already the nose and tail fillet off by then so I guess I’ll have to go with the wrong ones or modify the kit ones edit: turns out the photo is a different aircraft from a different squadron so I’ll fit the smaller tanks
  13. Indeed, anyway my decision to pick up the Italeri/revell proved foolish, was mistaken to think it was in stock at my local so I won’t be building one in the near future. They did have the Tamiya B version so maybe I’ll be getting that as well for this
  14. Loyalty to my local has backfired, got my Tamiya f35a this morn and fancied getting myself the Revell/italeri a to build now, appeared in stock on my locals only to find it wasn’t and caused a fuss (which I hate to do) whilst they attempted to confirm it and offered me the (expensive) Tamiya f-35b which I refused and felt bad so left with a Hasegawa kfir as stash fodder. Could have had the Revell 35 delivered today from Amazon if just ordered this morning……
