  1. I've just recently started to use Hataka, the red and blue lines. I've airbrushed the a couple of the Red paints and found them to spray well thinned with Vallejo airbrush thinner and am quite impressed with the fine detail. I didn't have any clogging issues. The only negative I've found with Hataka is that the paints are very fragile, even on primed surfaces.
  2. Hmmm... I got a tracking number as well, not that it does anything. Sounds like I need to be a bit more patient.... Like 8 more hours....guess what just arrived...
  3. Hi all, just over two weeks ago I ordered some Hataka paints from their site. They were quick to take the money and issue an order no., but after going to "ready for dispatch" within hours nothing has happened. I've mailed them but no reply. Has anyone else ordered form them directly ?? Thanks, David
  4. Hi there, I would like to improve the detail in the cockpit of my Red Arrows Hawks. I've found a few walkarounds. Are there any drawings anywhere ?? Thanks, David.
  5. Any progress is still progress 🙂 I shortened the peg/axle so I could fit the wheel later. I then built the whole undercarriage except the hydraulic tank.
  6. Nice begin ! Like the 3D effect ! Always nice to see a Mossie. I built the Mk.IV years ago, was the first model I airbrushed....sort of.... Looking forward to more installments
  7. Hi all, I was recently gifted a compressor. Unfortunately it has a 1/8" connection which of course doesn't fit my hose which is a 1/4". Instead of faffing about with adaptors and as my hose is quite old I thought I'd get a new hose. Which ones can you recommend, preferably one with a quick release for the airbrush. Thanks, David.
  8. Ok, thanks for clearing that up
  9. That could be either red or green ?? For an air display it would be red ??
  10. Hi all, This might seem a strange request. I have a ton of Citadel Paints, and instead of buying more paints I would like to see if I can use them on my Hawks. So I'm looking for a chart that converts BS381 to Citadel paints. Is there such a thing ? Thanks, David
  11. Hi all, I've just started the Airfix 1/72 Red Arrows Hawk and the Airframe 1/72 Hawk with the 2010 Anniversery scheme. I want to add a pilot as I want to do an inflight display. The instructions call for 1 figure in the forward position, but there are two figures supplied. Is it correct I just use the one ?? Thanks David
  12. Hi there, in a few days I'll be on holiday and staying just outside Matlock and was wondering if there are any hobby shops in the area. Thanks for any tips. David.
  13. Thanks for the advice guys !! Looking forward to get modelling again
  14. Hi all, after a few years of just looking at my stash, I'll actually be able to build something soon, and because it's this time of year, I thought the Airfix 1/72 Dambuster from 2012 would appropriate. I don't want to go overboard, but I want to add some detail. I was thinking of a Eduard Lancaster seatbelt and interior set. What other (if any) detail sets would you recommend ? Also I'm going to get a masking set, but Eduard or Montex ? Any help/info would be greatly appreciated ! David.
