  1. Amazing dive sight of WWII Japanese equipment lost during Operation Hailstone, on February 16-17, 1944. Anyone wanting references photos for underwater planes, armour and vehicles etc. this is a gold mine! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2905510/Ghostly-ocean-floor-graveyard-hundreds-ships-planes-makes-eerie-memorial-WWII-attack-Japanese-Pacific-base.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
  2. Hi guys, I realise this is not exactly "modelling". however it is awesome reference material. This short file may be old hat to some of you, but I just came across it and was very impressed! it is called The German by Nick Ryan. It features a nice dog fight between a Spitfire and BF109 during the Battle of Britain. http://player.vimeo.com/video/31202906?autoplay=1 Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
  3. My goodness, that is a thing of beauty no less! You should be very proud of this epic effort!
  4. Awesome paint job and great work overall!
  5. Exquisite detail in the kit, and a breathtaking build. My goodness Steve, you made it look so life like! I would love a Master Class from you some day
  6. Thanks Graham! Perfect mate, and they will post to me Cheers!
  7. Hi, I intend on starting a series of builds for WW1 bi-planes. As such I am looking for the best products for the rigging in 1/48 scale. I have looked at Bob's Buckle's and he suggests fishing line. However I cannot find a fishing line that is thin enough to simulate rigging. Also, what do people use on their WW2 aircraft that have antenna's (from cockpit to tail). I don't like using stretched spru, and again, I have found that fishing line loses it's tension very quickly. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Danny ps. I am in Australia
  8. Hi Stoohoo, I was so impressed with your build I went to my stash and blew off the dust on this one. However, I noticed you have the obligatory swastika on the tail, but that is not included in the original decal sheet (I guess because a German company is not allowed to??). So did you get your swastika decals from another sheet? Also, could you please, please tell me what you used for your antenna and the little white insulation thingy-me-bobs that are on it? Seems I have been looking for a good antenna product for years and now I see you have the perfect solution! Great job all round and I hope I can emulate your efforts!!
