Revell 1/35 SPz Puma - A Nice Change Of Pace!
Sarcococca replied to Spence's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Hi Spence, Since I'm a maniac of modern AFV's your model hits my attention! I like your skill and this Puma is very clean built, but the paintwork......... it is very very nice, A smoth and clean colour application and a truly fantastic, realistic weathering! Cool..... One question please: What kind of colours did you used for the applied Broncegreen and the brown camo colour??? The green looks great! Greetz Dirk P.S. Spence, from where do you come? Since you was in Heiden, it is possible we know us? -

WIP Step 2 The entire Frontwheelbay is painted in cincchromatic yellow with additional colour variations to add some diversification. Entire contours of all pipes and boxes was painted with a pinwash of burnt umber/ black oil colours, to emphasize the three-dimensionality of raised details.- 79 replies

A very impressive model! Remember me to some Buck Danny adventures! I like the design somewhere between a Me 262 and a WWII bomber aircraft! I will follow your thread!

Mirage III CZ; 1:48 Hobbyboss

No Jonners I think a sexy sixty supersonic jet must be finished in natural metal finish! Like the E.E. Lightning it reaffirms all the shapely aircraft designs of this era! I have so many kits on stash, many of them only in camouflage possible, so it is a welcome alternation. Here is my source of inspiration......... http://www.saairforce.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3098&hilit=Mirage+III Greetz Dirk- 79 replies

Hi mates, I`ve started with my MirageIII CZ from Hobbyboss. Truly surprised how many Eduard models of this "Belle du ciel" are built. The Hobbyboss kit is well detailed and here in Germany availeable for less than 16 Euro! So I was wondering as few kits of this brand are built! Since I`m a fan of the comic " The adventures of Mick Tanguy and Laverdure" it was only a question of time, that I would start to built this sexy sixty jet! As usual I`ve started not with step 1 of the instruction! Ussually I start with the sub components of an modell, as an welcome alternation! I`ve found some ncie pictures of the South African Mirage in the so called SAAF Forum. So my decision was fallen in favor of the AA Rocket Matra R 530. Only minor details are scratchbuilt. So I replaced all wings with thinner plastic. Additionally supplemented the two little control flaps and some missing panellines. Some original pictures has shown the Matra mounted on a yellow trolley! I decided to scratchbuilt one and used therefore the wheels of the old Italeri Trolley! Source: SAAF Forum Source: SAAF Forum Not sure what the original intention was, but I liked the very colourfull paintsheme of the SAAF Matra`s. Masking the rockets with Tamiya tabe and Laboratory Film I painted them with Gunze colours. I decided to use the 1600 liter tanks for my model. These tanks are so pretty huge! I rescriped some missing panellines too.

My second posting here on britmodeller will be my model of the very fine molded Revell kit from 2005! After I was reading the amazing book "Small Scale Armour Modelling " from Alex Clark, I was surprised about the fragile work could be done in braille scale! It took more than 20 years of modelling that I explored this fine scale models! Because I finished this kit last year I will post here few WIP pictures! My decision concerned the ISAF contingent of the Bundeswehr in Afghanistan. Found some nice pictures of the true things in Tankograd Special No. 5031 "GECON-ISAF Desert Camouflage. As additional detailsets I`ve used photoetched parts from Eduard, Extratech and the famous resin wheels of Tracks and Troops: With the friendly aid of former Soldiers who served in Afgha I could detailing my little Fennek with the crew compartment, the engine and small storage place. Cutting out both doors and both hatches at the back, I could scratch build few parts out of plastic profiles and sheets. I hope you enjoy

My older models "Journey through time and scale"
Sarcococca replied to Sarcococca's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
only 25 years! Oh no, don`t do it! If I can help with documents, drawings etc. let me know! hi Martin I`ve painted the wood graines in the same manner as shown on original restoration pictures! like this one: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Australia---Air/De-Havilland-Australia/1609466/L/&sid=e0a5126fec6f824662e3905ea94d922f Hope I didn`t make too much failures??? FD2? Do you wanna release a modell of this research aircraft?? In scale 48?? Wow Hi Sernak, thx for your compliments, but I believe I`m not the right person to tell something about figure painting! You could categorize me as an expierienced but not as an expert figure painter! I`ll think about a "how do paint figures as a Noob" thread! Maybe with my next planned figure?! I don`t think this idea will be good! -
