  1. Thanks a lot Chum, to tell you the truth I've forgotten I posted this?
  2. Hello Widow 65 You lucky sods thats what you lot did then! the only luxuries I remember taking with me one time was some super noodles because I really like them but on the down side I had to take an extra bottle of water, and some lovely soft Andrex toilet roll I found this set of videos it was before my short time in the Army but I remember it being on the news, ITS WAR LADS!!!
  3. Hi C&WR I'm not really an armour builder but I'm really enjoying your build and the stories, I might just go and build myself a Tank I remember watching an Army recruitment advert back then as a kid, where I think it was a Chieftain tank crew pulling up in some woods, they all jump out and start making camp and they started cook eggs and bacon with hot brew, I often wondered where they got the eggs and bacon from, when I was sitting in a cold hole in a field? We didn't get that in the fusiliers keep up the great build mate
  4. Know criticism from me mate, that's a great build
  5. I Just stopped by and saw this build and had to write something, what a great build you've done there, sorry to read you had problems with the wiring, I'm not sure I'd even have the skills to do it in the first place? So a big thumbs up for the whole project well done mate
  6. I have the full body conversion thank God, lets not talk about the cockpit that was a nightmare, this conversion kit has fought me every step of the way, I don't know about anyone else but the pictures were in no way a help, when I started this project I did some research and I thought because I had the MF kit I could build the Mig-21UM Mongol-B then yesterday I found out that the tail I used is based on the Bis, anyway I'm hoping that this project turns out and then I'll put it behind me, I'm not sure if I'll put the finish aircraft on here, but I will put me hands up and say yours looks brilliant well done mate.
  7. Cheers Floggerman, I'm only just getting my head around all these migs, I have seen a picture of a trainer mig variant with the same tail as mine but for the life of me I can't find it? That's why I used the MF kit.
  8. Hi noeyedears, Great build mate, I wanted to do a Mig-21UM project, and made the mistake of saying this to my other half who then went and bought me the conversion kit, I have to say I can't believe how bad the instructions are, I've messed up so many times now I'll just be happy when it's over unlike you I couldn't get my hands on the Mig-21PF kit and I hunted the internet without any luck, so I had to use the only kit I had which was the Mig-21MF, which meant I had to build a whole new spine to match the mig MF tail with the neomega resin body, to tell you the truth I'm not even sure I can use this MF tail? Anyway, enjoyed reading and seeing your build well done
  9. Great built mate, I really like the Cold war pictures , give me that camouflage any day by far better than that boring gray
  10. lol I didn't know that? I can't imagine what was going through that soldier's mind when he was told that the Para's didn't have the facilities to accept their surrender lol he must have thought they were up against crazy men.
  11. Thank you HL-10 that made a lot of sense with all that was going on that night, funny how I never thought of it? Operation Pegasus Bridge is one of my all time favorite parts in the film even now it still makes me laugh when the medic was on the wrong side of the bridge "where have you been?" "anyone can make a mistake" I also like the part in a bridge to far, Major Harry Carlyle: Rather interesting development, sir. Major Harry Carlyle: That's far enough! We can hear you from there! SS Panzer Officer: My general says there is no point in continuing this fighting! He wishes to discuss terms of a surrender! Major Harry Carlyle: Shall I answer him, sir? Lt Col John Forst: Tell him to go to hell. Major Harry Carlyle: We haven't the proper facilities to take you all prisoner! Sorry! SS Panzer Officer: looks confused What? Major Harry Carlyle: We'd like to, but we can't accept your surrender! Was there anything else? Brilliant
  12. HL-10 there's been something on my mind ever since I watched The Longest day, and programs on the attack on the Pegasus Bridge, I know the pilots of the gliders were I would class as Elite Pilots + Soldiers, I know this probably a stupid question but how did the pilot land the glider so close to the bridge without the Germans hearing it sliding across the ground?
  13. This is a build I'm really enjoying, I can't wait to see this He 111 finished, well done Tail Dragon
  14. Hi crookedmouth I just found your build, at the start of your WIP, did I read correctly that you enjoy rigging? I can see I'm writing to someone who's clearly insane , but joking aside, I'm following this build with interest one of my family who I'll not mention bought me a Gladiator, this after I clearly said No biplanes I've never tried to do any rigging, so keep up the great work mate
