  1. Get in touch with who made the kit and they should be able to send you replacements
  2. Cheers for the fast replies and for the good advice And steve that doesn't fill me with confidence as its a revell porsche
  3. Hi im in desperate need for help when it comes to clear plastic thats used for car windows due to the fact I have never done a car with windows before 1) how to glue them to the body and what type of glue as im aware that some/most makes it go white 2) can you clear spray over the top of it as I dont want to try when im at that stage and it ruin the car
  4. right im calling this one done before i get to carried away with little imperfections
  5. It may just be me but when you learn a new technique of how to do things modelling wise do you then look at all your kit made previously and say to yourself "im going to redo them now as they dont look as good as this new one now " for example I have only been making models for two years and only been a britmodeller since january, I started kit with brushing on paint, then with spray cans a while later, then learned about the wonders of primer, the the magnificence of clear coating along with a few other things, but I find im always picking different little things up here and there and using them for myself (mainly advice picked up on here) sometimes with bad effects but mainly with better than before results. I am just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience
  6. My thoughts exactly this car would have be much better in 1/12 with more potential for engine detail instead of the shouded piece in this or maybe even the 2011 mclaren with those odd shaped side pods also I cant be that much of an issue as fujimi are knocking them out at a vast rate as as far as I am aware they have 3 cars from 2012 so far and If im to believe what ive read/been told then they are already planning another 3 at the minimum from this year
  7. Thanks and I used the decals for the tyres which admittedly I messed up a couple so stole spares from another kit
  8. I think in regards to making any kit perfect is a loose term as no matter how happy I am with any kit I do I always look at it afterwards and think I should of done that in a different way or I should of done this like that but that may just be me and when it comes to spending money its a balance on what you want to do to the model and what means you have as there have been some posts on here where I think wow why would you spend that much but also there are some where I think that theres been a good idea put across like using wires from an old printer to wire engines but at the end of the day its how you want it to look at the end and who/where its going to be seen. But for me I go fo a mixture of resin and p/e
  9. To everyone thank you I cant be anymore greatfull
  10. Hi I really need to get some good detailed pics from under the skin of the ferrari f1-2000 If anyone knows any good sites or book that I could look at it would be very much appreciated This I a project that my 4y/o are doing together so it has alot of value to it Cheers
  11. It maybe a more beautiful car now but what about in 40-50 years when f1 fans look at what they will have then and look back to now some may think that this was a better era but for me 80s to early 90s was the best when the nose didnt have pillars holding the front wing on like the ferrari 641/2 and mclaren mp4/4 and 6 and williams fw14b but the arrows a2 was the best by a long way even though it only did half a season and wasnt very good it has to be the best looking epic fail of f1
  12. Hi guys I brought the top studio super detail-up set for the ferrari f1 2000 but it has alot of resin parts, having never used resin before I am unsure on a few things: A) what kind of primer do I use, is it ok to use tamiya primers or are the to aggressive what glues can you use as the one I have pretty much melts the plastic together Any and all help is appreciated
  13. £1148 WOW my missus would kill me if id spent that roy Also on the price I think £45 plus about a ten day wait for delivery is quite fair as tamiyas last f1 kit the ferrari f60, I seen it being sold a while ago for £48 before delivery costs but I guess that I may just be a bit impatient to wait as I have already brought another one to do the toro rosso conversion
  14. Very nice but with regards to halfords primer do you not find that it need so much smoothing done with it before you can put a colour coat on also as I have found out recently it doesnt like going over tamiyas grey primer it pitts a lot either way I would love to pick one of these cars up but even on ebay they are quite expensive now
  15. Cheers for the comments And it has been glossed with tamiya ts 13 and has the a/m carbon set also an extra photo etch sheet for the brakes and wheel nuts and some option decal set so I could pretty much choose to do what ever round of the championship I wanted In total I probably spent around £125 on all the extra parts, paints and model with postage costs but at the end of the day it won both f1 championships, that was the excuse I gave my fiancé and she understood it Given the opportunity I would get the same car again but buy the toro rosso decal set and do that car aswell but I think that might push a certain someone over the edge
  16. basically finished now just waiting on new tyre decals and smoke spray for the windsheild unusual for tamiya the fit isnt the greatest but like i say its almost done and will make a great addition the the cabinet
  17. another quick pic because it shows the aggression of f1 cars
  18. hi guys here is tamiyas redbull rb6 2010 f1 car done and finished started in jan finished this morning here is the porn i tried to do th eabu dhabi car but didnt do enough research on it before hand so there are some bits not quite right on it also due to a little angle on of the hub decals is a bit messy but the wheels are stayin on so it doesnt matter to me the colour is ts51 i think it was the old telefonica blue but i like this better than the actual colour its ment to be as tamiya recommend a colour that is rarer than hens teeth in the uk overall im happy with it and will make a fine addition to my ferrari f10 all comments/critisism welcome so feel free
  19. Ebays a good place probably be about £30-50 though
  20. This has kind of stalled due to needing new decals as put a coat of clear over the marlboro ones and they just got eaten so a bit bummed about it and its taken the bug to finish it till I can do It properly now
  21. I just brought the williams fw14b from the hungarian gp the one mansell took from 14th to win looking foward to it to as I may get the monaco version to go with mclaren mp4 7
  22. I looked at your post from the 22nd and saw the upright and thought my 4y/o could of done better with playdough but didnt want to say It at the time but seeing as I think you are replacing the resin one im entitled to say it now
  23. I agree fujimi are not really reliable for quality eg. Their ferrari f2012 f1 car wasnt very well made or thought out in my opinion but by contrast their ferrari f10 f1 car was excellent but I think it all depends what kind of experience you are after and what selection you want , I mean if you want the security of knowing that there wont be much to fiddle with go tamiya but if you want a surprise of not knowing what your going to get go fujimi, hope this helps
  24. Wow does it start, it really is and amazing build of a great car
