Hi Callum, You could use Post-it notes, they have a very low tack point. Just a note to anyone glueing the resin dock sections together, I find it best to use a epoxy glue.

I do not know if this has been mentioned here before. AK Interactive have released a DVD Weathering German Ships. Some very interesting weathering techniques are shown. I picked up mine at the LHS for $30US not bad.

Callum, It looks like they cracked where they where glued together. I would use strips of masking tape(Tamiya Yellow) as close to the gaps as you can. Then use Tamiya Basic puddy(gray) leave the tape on and sand as carefully as possible, then rescribe the lines. The Tugs look just fine.

Callum, I believe Eduard makes pre-painted figures in 1/700. I like the Walrus and the open shed.

It may be that it is flamable and can not be shipped. That is the same problem I have here, I can not ship Enamels outside of the USA due to Postal regulations. Winsor & Newton do make "Artisan water mixable Matt Varnish" which may be easier to find.

Callum, you might give Winsor&Newton Artist's Matt Varnish a try. Never had a problem with this varnish.
