  1. It’s much cheaper for me to get the RVHP kit from Hannants back then compared to getting it from HLJ. Ironically even the shipping to Singapore was cheaper. But Falcon stuff I can get it locally from HPM Hobbies.
  2. midway thru my build, I found a kinetic C-2 kit going for about £40 from a fellow modeler. He was quitting 1/48. I bought it thinking I could fabricate the interior in 1/72. Too much structural work needed thus I skip it. Nevertheless I think the kinetic kit might be a better option to the heller kit on price point.
  3. I assume Tasman is the older name for Falcon model? A kiwi product. Honestly, without them we are left with RVHP resin conversion. We are still a year or 2 away from seeing something coming out from heller. I was really hoping one do the Chinese companies churn them out ie hobbyboss trumpeter etc With a Falcon vacuum kit?
  4. Thought I share the rest of my remaining photos here. The project is almost done. I hope future modelers who choose this cheaper alternative can find this thread useful towards their build current state of my build
  5. Heller announce an E-2C from the scaled down Kinetic 1/48. I have yet to see it in stores. HJL took pre orders and it was immediately stop. It cost more than the kinetic kit.
  6. I finally started and almost completed mine. All thanks to your build guide. https://flic.kr/p/2pjMELG https://www.flickr.com/gp/199680849@N06/e8y314p9xT
  7. We are almost September. No marketing effort coming from Heller. Looks like a shelved project
  8. Hi Alex, can you advice what blue did you use for the side winder missile?
  9. I wonder how far did Arie get with this project. I use his build as a guide to my build. I m about to start on the folded wings.
  10. Once I m done with my Tomcat, I ll start on the Greyhound. My Hasegawa E-2C is en-route from Japan. The Wolfpack folded wings are here. And the resin fuselage is on the way. Just to have a feel of the size of this aircraft, I ll visit MPM to view the vacuum kit set. Again Dermot awesome build. You bring hope to carrier builders like me. It’s still possible to crowd the deck with all type of carrier base aircraft.
  11. Amazing work Dermot, makes me want to get the vacuum kit too. But I don’t think my carrier deck will be able to fit 2 Greyhound. It’s quite full now. The RVHP resin conversion is on the way from Hannants and the Hasegawa donor kit is still in Japan.
  12. The vacuum fuselage available at HPM is the Falcon conversion kit. No news from HLJ, i assume no stock of my order.
  13. After googling, i found HPM Hobbies which is 10mins drive from my home with the Vacuum kit in stock, relatively cheap about 10 quid, comes with 2 other fuselage a skyraider and a sabre. But....... i ordered a RVHP set last night from HLJ and...... i found out that i have a fujimi kit instead of a hasegawa kit.... and the wolfpack folded wings requires a Hasegawa kit too. I got about a few days to decide, i can return the resin kit and pick up the vacuum stuff next week or i could just bite another bullet and get a hasegawa E-2c around 20quid++ before shipping. I have no experience building a vacuum form kit.
  14. I search for them, I think pricing is competitive compared to RVHP. But their base donor is still a Hasegawa kit. I m following his build, is the vacuum form conversion cheaper? I think it’s way above my skill level.
  15. Or kinetic resizing their 1/48 kit to a 1/72
