  1. It's actually FS36270 Haze Gray. It's the same darker gray as in previous F-35 scheme. I saw first F-35s with FS36270 RAM panels in 2019. You can check from this huge USAF photo database: https://www.af.mil/News/Photos/igsearch/f-35/igsort/PhotoDate/ BTW: Depending on light, F-35 seems to have semimetallic finish. It's available as clear varnish MRP-278 HAVE Glass Special Matt Varnish from MRP. FS16170 is available from Russian Akan manufacturer and MRP (MRP-039 Haze Gray FS36270).
  2. Kh-41 Moskit ASM was never used on Su-27K operationally. I was used for PR purposes on several airshows. About the camo colors: try Begemot decal sheets and Russian AKAN paints - they have exact hues for USSR and RF stuff.
  3. There is 2 varions of F-35A paint schemes: old and new one. Tamiya’s 1/72 new kit has 2 options on a/c in the new scheme. In the old scheme all the RAM tapes were of much lighter gray colour tha the rest of the darker grey a/c. In the new scheme majority of the RAM tapes are in same dark grey color as the rest of the overall a/c. If you want to make a/c in older scheme from Tamiya’s model, you need paint mask or decal set of the RAM tapes. I usually takes 1-2 months for all the aftermarket stuff to appear for a brand new model. I you are in a hurry, you can use Hasegawa 1/72 F-35A kit or Academy 1/72 F-35A (in Seven Nations packing) kits as a source for RAM tape decals. They might fit or nor not.
  4. If you are building model with weapons bays closed, I would suggest Hasegawa. If you build model with weapons bays open – Academy.
  5. The availability of Su-35 stencils in English is quite unlikely, because thera has been no Su-35 deliveries to counties us9ng English stencils. About export Su-27/30 planes you should check out deval sets from Russian decal company Begemot Decals. www.begemotdecals.ru
  6. Hasegawa F-35 kits also come with RAM panels as decals.
  7. MiG-31K - MiG-31BM version converted to hypersonic Kinzhal missile launch platform – can carry 1 (9-A-7600) Kh-47M2 Kinzhal kvaziballistic missile on fuselage center pylon. There are 1/72 and 1/48 arma-models.ru conversions of this version and 1/72 & 1/48 Trumpeteer kits.
  8. MiG-29 SMT and later versions of Su-24 and Su-27 are still operational in Russian air force (VKS) so there might be some classidied only -restrictions. The early Su-27 versions from 1980’s might be declassified but certainly not the latest modernized Su-27SM’s.
  9. I think you do not understand how military organisations and military personnel actually work. While you can find manuals of older Soviet planes on the web or in stores but the manuals of modern Russian planes are classified. Ground crews will not give any classified info to outsiders. I'm still suggesting in-situ photos of operational planes. The second-most-authentic source are marketing and advertising materials of Russian arms export monopoly Rosoboronexport and plane manufacturers that contain declassified information.
  10. I would start with photos of operational planes which is the most accurate source. You can start with Google photo search. Try also Yandex photo search because if finds Russia-related subjects better than Google. A bit more generic and probably less authentic way is to go to https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/ and download assembly and painting insturctions of various model kits of the planes you ate interested in. There is usually an external payload scheme.
  11. Hi Armando, James & Exdraken! What is your opinion on 1/72 HobbyBoss Rafale kits? br, A
  12. I had the exactly same situation: pre-RAM decal (& PE set) original Fujimi kit. Singe RAM panels painting/decaling is 10-20 hours project, I upgraded to Hasegawa kit just to save time.
  13. I would suggest using 1/72 Academy F-35B kit instead, because it has RAM panel decals included with the kit. The Academy kit is also more detailed, easier to assemble and closer to serial production planes. The other good choice would be Hasegawa F-35B, which also comes with RAM panel decals. The biggest difference between Academy and Hasegawa F-35B (and F-35A) kits is that Academy kits have detailed weapons bays and Hasegawa kits do not. Academy kit info:https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10679131 Eduard RAM panel painting mask for it (I would use decals instead): https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10692705 Hasegawa kit (Beast Mode variant with wing pylons and weapons): https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10605618 You will also need a way to simulate semi-metallic sheen of RAM paints. The easiest way is to use this varnish as the final (outer layer after applying decals) varnish: https://hpns.eu/shop/mrp-278-have-glass-special-matt-varnish The darker of the F-35 grays is this one: https://hpns.eu/shop/mrp-280-camouflage-grey-fs-36170
  14. Here are some pics. BTW, Attack Squadron used to have this 1/72 pylon in resin.
