  1. Wow Antti, I had just glued them on perpendicular to the wing but the glue was still soft when I saw your picture. I still had a chance to bend them prependicular to the ground๐Ÿ˜… This picture makes it clear, thank you so much for the save! Pierre
  2. Wow, some excellent unexpected resources, thanks so much guys, that is highly appreciated, Pierre
  3. Good day, I am currently building the REVELL 1/48 French F4U-7 in 1/48. Can someone please advise me as to whether the HVAR rocket pylons were perpendicular to the ground or rather to the wings please? Instructions do not make this clear and good front view images are scarce. Thanks kindly, Pierre
  4. Gents, Thank you very much for the excellent replies and those magnificent photos. That more than answers my question. I think DW-K is the one in the kit. Regards, Pierre
  5. Good day, I have this wonderful kt in the stash and the other day someting caught my eye regarding the rear view mirror over the front windscreen. Is the shape of this correct as it comes in the kit? It looks to me too boxy in a way and I cannot find any reference photos where the mirror looks like this. I know the kit was modelled on a museum machine but is this authentic or just a restoration "gimmick"? Thanks for any response, Regards, Pierre
  6. Good day again, I have the beautiful 1/48 scale ICM Foxbat kit and I will build it as a russian machine. I have always received good info on Britmodeller so here goes my long shot question. On later Russian or Algerian (Libyan?) PD versions there is an elongated hump or sensor on the bottom of the port vertical fin. The KH kit has this on both sides but it is apparently only present on the outside and inside of the left fin. Does anyone have any information or pictures of this feature to verify the actual position of this feature? Maybe a Russian modeller here somewhere? I have tried everywhere but no joy ๐Ÿ™„ Thanks for any info, Pierre
  7. I think they are made of some kind of velvety material to protect the canopy when there is contact during hard manoeuvres. USAF helmets also have thick leather patches for the same purpose (speaking under correction here). Pierre
  8. Sabrejet, Sorry for the long overdue reply, thank you very much for the excellent cockpit shots. I am awaiting my Eduard corrected instrument panel from Hannants, Regards, Pierre
  9. Ahh, got it, thanks very much, so no filling then. MUCH appreciated, Sabrejet. Any pictures of the standard instrument panel? Pierre
  10. Hi Sabrejet, thanks, but sorry if I seem confused why are they absent on some other Sabre Dogs? Look at this example.๐Ÿค” http://cyberplasticmodeler.blogspot.com/2015/05/aircraft-walkaround-vol47-north.html
  11. Good day, I have just started a Revell F-86D and was wondering whether I could ask for some advise regarding this kit. I have the late style kit with the parachute housing below the fin. My question concerns the two "cannon/gun camera" port holes either side of the intake where the intake fairs into the fuselage. I have checked multiple reviews and work in progress reports but nothing mentioning these before. Do they need to be filled or are they supposed to be there. Are they perhaps only present on later K/L variants. Found a picture at http://freeflightarchive.com/index.php/our-staff/95-walk-around-aircraft-in-detail/418-naa-f-86d-sabre-dog. Please look at the head-on view. Thanks for any help, Regards, Pierre
  12. Thank you very much Creepy Pete, that helps, Regards, Pierre
  13. Sirs, Good day. I hope this is the right forum. I have this Hasegawa FG.1 in my stash and recently got hold of the Xtradecal stencils and Royal Navy decal set. Can someone please tell me what version of Sparrow would have been used as I am assuming it was too early for Skyflash during the carrier time frame. Thank you very much, Rgeards, Pierre
  14. Many thanks guys, great info there! Pierre
  15. Thanks guys, sorry I should have mentioned it is White 1 Werknummer 330204. I am aware that there is disagreement whether White 1 actually was 330204. Thanks a lot, I think it should be black then! Kind regards Pierre
