  1. I had the opportunity to measure-up some of the aircraft at Duxford recently, using various tools, including the type of laser range-finder that estate agents use to measure rooms. The device worked fine for the B-52, F-111, T-33 etc. but not the SR-71 or U-2. It just couldn't 'see' them ! Had to give up and use a surveyor's tape-measure !
  2. I'm just about to start a pair of Victors, so I'm following your thread closely. Lovely work !

I would love to incorporate a set of your jet-pipes into at least one of my models - do you have a set (or two) available ?

    Best regards

      Hi Keith

Thanks for your interest. I have a couple of sets available at the moment for sale, although one may be sold to another member... I'm waiting on an answer back from him.

I am asking £15 for the set, including P&P, so if your happy with the price let me know.

      Regards, Gary

  3. Sign me up for several SR-71 pitot tubes if they do make them !
  4. I've got my 57th FIS decals from ASTRA (sheet 48-05), together with a Hasegawa F-15C kit (or three). On Scalemates, I can see Hasegawa F-15E releases from 1986/7 onwards - which 'update' rendered the kit unsuitable for use as a F-15B/D ? How early an F-15E kit do I need to source to have the old-style FAST packs in the box ? Would my Academy F-15E be of use as a FAST Pack donor ? Really quite keen now............ :-)
  5. OK, so that would give me an F-15D with sparrow-mounts of the FAST packs out of the box ......... can I simply fit those FAST packs to a Hasegawa F-15C kit to get my 57th FIS single-seater ?
  6. I quite fancy doing a 57 FIS F-15C with accurate FAST packs, so what would be my best way to achieve that ?
  7. Can these sets be reserved and paid for in advance, to be collected at Telford ? Keith
  8. How do the Academy CFTs compare for this job ? Already got one in the stash, you see :-) Keith
  9. The SR-71 refueling port was only closed when the engines were running, so the kit is moulded correctly for a 'static' a/c. regards Keith
  10. I was hoping to make up a French 2-seater from the GR3/ES boxing with the Neomega T2 conversion. Apart from the armarment, pods etc., what other differences will I need to address ? Keith
