  1. No because it was embargoed. But if you go on Airfix Workbench for the Telford reveal last year there are plenty of high quality pics of the build.
  2. Yes I used it on the build of the Airfix 1/24 Hellcat as revealed at Telford last year. The finish is glossy - although not super high gloss. From the bottle it gives a pretty reasonable scale effect on that kit.
  3. Hi Colin I'd like one of these to pick up at Telford please, if you are able? I did email you via your site but not sure if that got through. Many thanks Jim Bren
  4. I built the model featured in Workbench and as I understand it there will be British 500lb GP bombs supplied in the production kit. That was a change made after the initial test shots. Cheers Jim
  5. Bagged one of these for £32.49 in this week's Creative Models special offers - early Xmas pressie for me! http://www.creativem...ials-c-205.html
  6. Hi Piero Thanks for letting me know about the cost of the resin bits. have sent you a PM back on this. Best wishes Jim
  7. Call me a pedant if you like but why is a bus that goes from Dalston to Piccadilly Circus heading south over Westminster Bridge??? Something to ponder over the mince pies.... Cheers all Jim
  8. I use the metal foil that you get covering the lids of Gu deserts (posh eh!) - but I suppose any similar metal foil would do . It is just the right thickness to be able to be bent, folded and cut to shape easily. I will try and post up some shots of my Rafale B - which badly needs them to avoid the see through look. HTH Jim
  9. Deon If you can give me a heads up about when you might next go to Mid Sussex I'll dig this monster out of the loft where it is sulking in a box so you can have a closer squint. Having admired a lot of your stuff from a distance I think I have more to learn from you than you have from me ... but thank you anyway. Michaelvk - thank you for the nice comment ... means a lot from someone who does it for living ... I consider myself a shambolic amateur (well that's what I am really) . Now for a change of scene I'm just finishing the Klingon Bird of Prey ..... would anyone like some shots of that if I can sort me mouldy old camera out??? Take care guys Jim
  10. Hi Piero This is truly excellent.I am very interested in getting hold of the resin parts that you have produced to correct this kit. Could you PM me to let me know how I can do this? Many thanks for your help - keep going Cheers Jim
  11. Evening Karl Anymore obscured detail fetishists out there? - come on let's be having you. Pork scratchings and a Southern Comfort please barman. And whatever my friends are having J
  12. Friday night and once again the pub is empty! (Sidles up behind the bar and pours a nicely balanced Pomerol) Alright - I'll kick off. Where do you stand on putting in detail where no-one can see it. I have to say I never used to - but as I get older I find myself doing it more and more (in spite of declining optics). Just put in load of plumbing in the deepest recess of my SU 25 wheel bays. No-one will ever see I can be assured - but I know it's there and somehow that gives me a good feeling . Is it a waste of time or something to be applauded? What do you do and if you do it where do you stop? That was nice think I'll have another Cheers Jim
  13. This is so good you ought to sell it ..... Thankyousomuch Cheers Jim
  14. Hi Robert Incidentally if you wanted to add some weapons Aerobonus (by Aires) are doing some really nice Soviet kit. I just got hold of some UB-16-57 Rocket launchers for my SU-25 - they are lovely. I'll be going this way again on my Russian aircraft Cheers
  15. Thanks Troy. I may have a go with the magnifying glass trick. I have just bought myself a photo booth - the eBuyer photo studio - for £15.99 - see Mike's "Bargains" thread elsewhere and that includes the two small spots. I am also in the market to trade up my years old poxy Canon Ixus for an entry level DSLR - possibly the Canon 1100D with a 17-85 zoom - although I can't see Santa arriving with that more's the pity - and I will have to forego a fair few kits. Thanks for the kind remarks and helpful advice - this is why I like being on this forum. Cheers Jim
  16. Looking good Basosz. My Academy 1/32 Hornet keeps calling me (bought in a moment of madness in the MZ sale) Cheers Jim
  17. Hi Don I really like the effect on this even if others think it may not necessarily be historically right. Did you use a stipple brush to apply the latex? Am keen to have a go. Cheers Jim
  18. Hi Van Thanks for the kind comments. Actually I built it with the road wheels on and washed and weathered it - then I attached the tracks and painted those up whilst on the vehicle and applied a bit of thinned enamels and pigments to build up a bit of dust and light mud effect. I'd have to say that trying to glue the "rubber band style tracks to the road wheels was a royal pain in the backside - cyano seems to have little effect and I think I ended up using Araldite. I have yet to find to a find a satisfactory way of doing this. If anyone else has please speak up ... HTH Cheers Jim
  19. Hi Jose Whose mesh is that please? - looks nice stuff. Keep at it! Cheers JIm
  20. Masking, stencils and filling sanding ... in that order probbaly. Oh and assembling single link tracks
  21. Duh! Didn't read you post right - Vallejo paints - huh. I've tried these for armour but not used them on aircraft yet. Looks like they produce a lovely result
  22. Really great stuff Robert. Is the striping decal or did you mask it up? Either way a really excellent job on this Cold War brute. What paints did you use if I may? Cheers Jim
  23. Absolutely lovely. I would never have the cojones to go with all that decalling - accident waiting to happen. You, sir, have my profound respect. Cheers Jim
  24. A nightmare shared is a nightmare halved ... or is it doubled?? A Southern Comfort please barman ... some pork scratchings .. and a top up of whatever these good folk are having (can't you tell I've just been paid) J
